After completing medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Dr. Herron proceeded to Boston University Medical Center for her internal medicine residency. She returned to her roots in the South and completed a nephrology & hypertension fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Herron joined Southern Kidney Specialists in September 2020, and she has clinics at St Thomas West and in Murfreesboro. She serves as Medical Director for US Renal Care Dialysis of Cool Springs. She is available to see patients that are admitted to Summit Medical Center, Centennial Medical Center, Williamson Medical Center, Saint Thomas Midtown, and Saint Thomas West Hospitals.

Praveen Dandamudi, or “Dr. Dan,” is a skilled physician practicing at Southern Kidney Specialists, a nephrology practice where Dr. Dan serves patients at their Nashville, Tennessee location. Dr. Dandamudi originally hails from the Midwest. He was born in the great city of Detroit and grew up in Michigan. He completed his undergraduate and medical school training in a program at Creighton University in Omaha. He then completed both his internal medicine and nephrology training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He is board certified in internal medicine, nephrology & hypertension. Dr. Dandamudi also earned his MBA at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Dr. Dan is the Co-Founder of Southern Kidney Specialists. He is a Medical Director of multiple dialysis centers, Division Chief of Nephrology at Centennial Medical Center, Nephrology Subspecialty Coordinator, and Faculty Member of Centennial Medical Center's Internal Medicine Residency Program. He has held roles as a Member and Chair of various hospital committees, Physician Advisor to case management, and Consultant in the healthcare technology space.
In his spare time, Dr. Dandamudi enjoys spending time with his boys, playing tennis, and listening to various podcasts. He is proud to call Nashville his home and to continue cultivating his new southern roots.
