Joel Vandersluis, MD, provides comprehensive adult neurological care at Neurology Diagnostics, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has also completed board certification through the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Vandersluis earned his medical degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He completed his neurology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by fellowships in electromyography and headache management through the Department of Neurology at Case Western Reserve University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Vandersluis has remained committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. His clinical experience includes the evaluation and management of Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders, migraine and headache disorders, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, and other conditions affecting the brain and nervous system.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Vandersluis has contributed to medical education, serving as an associate professor at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton and as a preceptor for the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Vandersluis is committed to staying at the forefront of advancements in neurology, incorporating emerging diagnostic and treatment options into patient care. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Neurology, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and the Ohio State Medical Association.
