About Dr. Sybil Padavathil

 Dr. Padavathil (“Dr.Sybil”) is a transplant from the Sunshine State!  She was born and raised in the Fort Lauderdale area and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.  She then moved up north to pursue her dental education at Boston University.  After completing a residency in Brooklyn and working for one year as a general dentist, Dr. Sybil decided that her passion was working with children.  She then went back into training to complete her two-year residency in pediatrics where she treated countless patients from all backgrounds and needs.   Being a mom of two, Dr. Sybil strives to provide the highest quality of care that she would want for her own children.  She is experienced with meeting the needs of patients who would be better treated with sedation services including General Anesthesia, IV sedation, or nitrous oxide.

 

When Dr. Sybil isn't in the office, she can be found spending time with her husband, her two young children, and their dog Oliver.  She enjoys being active, spending time outdoors (especially at the beach), and having dance parties with her kids!

Dr. Tontat, DMD ("Dr. Yasmin") is so excited to be joining Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry! She is passionate about oral health and helping families build meaningful relationships with their dental team. Originally from sunny southern California, Dr. Yasmin studied Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania where she concurrently received her Masters of Public Health through the Perelman School of Medicine and completed a fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to expand her training on caring for children with different neurodevelopmental disabilities. Having fallen in love with the east coast, she then completed her pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian Kids/Columbia University Medical Center with special competence in caring for children with special healthcare needs and craniofacial conditions.

Mandi Chhina, DDS is a family and cosmetic dentist at Pinole Family Dental in Pinole, California. She provides a full scope of general and cosmetic dentistry services.

Dr. Mandi received her graduate degree from Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Amritsar, India in 2000. After graduating from a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, she worked in New York for two years as a general practitioner. This is where her passion for pediatric dental care developed. She pursued additional specialized training in pediatric dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. She continues to be held in high regard by distinguished professors and peers for her superb work ethic and her attention to detail.

Staci Brunell, DMD, (aka "Dr. Staci") is an experienced pediatric dentist at Yorktown Pediatric Dentistry in Yorktown Heights, New York.

Dr. Staci earned her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and her dental degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She then completed a one-year general practice residency at Phelps Memorial Hospital through New York Medical College. Following her general dentistry training, Dr. Staci undertook a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where she served as Chief Resident and consistently volunteered her time and services to promote positive dental health among children and adolescents.  

In 2017, Dr. Staci was the recipient of the prestigious Pediatric Dentistry Award from the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the New York State Dental Association. Dr. Staci is also proficient in Spanish.

Dr. Staci currently lives in Westchester County with her husband, two children, and their dog, Nash. When not working, Dr. Staci can be found shopping locally, listening to country music, rooting for her favorite New York sports teams, or spending time with family at the lake or beach.  

 Dr. Zia Ahmadzada completed his undergraduate education at the University of New York at Albany in 1997. He then went on to receive, in 2002, a doctorate of dental medicine (DMD) at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the oldest dental schools in the United States. As the second largest dental school in America, with a class size of approximately 190 students each, it has an excellent reputation, and it is renowned as a center for academic and clinical excellence. While at Tufts, Dr. Ahmadzada was recognized for attaining the Dean’s list for outstanding achievement and high performance on the National Board of Dentistry. He was also awarded an Endowed Prize Award for Ethics. Dr. Ahmadzada has been practicing general dentistry in Northern Virginia for 14 years and is dedicated to ensuring his patients receive the best possible care. His goal (and that of his team) is to provide comprehensive dental care for the whole family. Dr. Ruchi Trambadia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. She then received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She completed her General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ.

Dr. Ruchi’s areas of dental proficiency include restorative dentistry, extractions, root canal therapy, both fixed and removable dentures, crowns and bridges. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable under her care. She values open communication and honesty with patients to ultimately help them achieve a better smile and overall better oral health.

Dr. Rapolla grew up on the Pacific island of Guam and received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of California- San Diego. After working as a dental assistant for a year, he attended the UCLA School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

While in Los Angeles, Dr. Rapolla was a part of many dental mission trips to Mexico which ignited his passion for pediatric dentistry. He went on to receive his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He met his wife, Sandi, in Dallas, and worked in private practice before deciding to expand his knowledge in orthodontics and graduating from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, traveling, cooking, and being outdoors.

Robert Shandrick, DMD, FAGD, is a general dentist practicing at Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern Pennsylvania, which has 12 locations throughout Nuremberg, Sullivan Trail Falls, Freeland, Hazelton, Monroe Township, Wilkes-Barre, Shickshinny, and Edwardsville, Pennsylvania. He has over 30 years of experience providing expert dental care and currently sees patients at the Black Creek Dental Center in Nuremberg. 

Dr. Shandrick earned his Bachelor of Science at Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 1977. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1981, where he graduated in the top 5 students in his class.
