Dr. Alvina Lim is a fourth generation dentist. Born in California and raised in Indonesia, she was exposed to a variety of cultures at an early age. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee and her dental degree from Loma Linda University in California.

After graduating from a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, she worked in New York for two years as a general practitioner. This is where her passion for pediatric dental care developed. She pursued additional specialized training in pediatric dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. She continues to be held in high regard by distinguished professors and peers for her superb work ethic and her attention to detail.

When not at work, Dr. Lim enjoys spending time with husband and their baby girl. She has been actively involved in both local and international dental outreach programs including Thailand, Guyana and Guatemala.

Dr. Lim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

She is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and New York County Dental Society.

 Dr. Zia Ahmadzada completed his undergraduate education at the University of New York at Albany in 1997. He then went on to receive, in 2002, a doctorate of dental medicine (DMD) at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the oldest dental schools in the United States. As the second largest dental school in America, with a class size of approximately 190 students each, it has an excellent reputation, and it is renowned as a center for academic and clinical excellence. While at Tufts, Dr. Ahmadzada was recognized for attaining the Dean’s list for outstanding achievement and high performance on the National Board of Dentistry. He was also awarded an Endowed Prize Award for Ethics. Dr. Ahmadzada has been practicing general dentistry in Northern Virginia for 14 years and is dedicated to ensuring his patients receive the best possible care. His goal (and that of his team) is to provide comprehensive dental care for the whole family. His experience includes preventative and cosmetic dentistry, such as porcelain veneers, bonding, and tooth-colored fillings; endodontic procedures, such as root canals; and restorative dentistry, such as crowns and bridges. After receiving a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from UC Berkeley, Dr. Moayeri attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and graduated with a DDS degree in 1994. He has attended several continuing education courses to keep up with the latest advances in dental technology.

Dr. Moayeri is also an attorney and received his JD degree from Southwestern School of Law. Besides serving as an expert witness in court cases, he has lectured in legal aspects of dentistry.

He is an active member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Bar Association.

On a personal level, he enjoys traveling, photography, and snow skiing, as well as being the favorite uncle to his five lovely nieces.

Steve Hernandez, DDS, is a highly regarded professional in pediatric dentistry at Central Texas Pediatric Dentistry, with locations in Austin, Texas. Dr. Steve received his Bachelor of Science from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He completed two years of residency in pediatric dentistry, receiving certificates from Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, and Baylor College of Dentistry.

With deep roots in Texas, Dr. Steve is passionate about serving his community. Notable titles of service include southwest district member of the Scientific Planning Committee of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, rotarian, and Major in the United States Air Force Reserve. Along with his wife, Dr. Angie, Dr. Steve was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Lake Travis Education Foundation. Dr. Steve has also happily served for years as a Board member of the Highland Lakes Health Partnership.

His awards include 2008 Lake LBJ Citizen of the Year, and in 2009, the Outstanding Citizen Award from the Marble Falls/Highland Lakes Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the board of directors of the Highland Lakes Health Partnership, serving and overseeing the formation of a charity dental in the Highland Lakes area. In 2011, he was honored as Officer of the Quarter for Lackland AFB 433AW. In addition, he has been a part of many community organizations and missions, treating hundreds of patients at no cost to them while recruiting multiple Texas dentists.

To maintain his cutting edge knowledge in the industry, Dr. Steve maintains his affiliations with many organizations that include the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Texas Association of Pediatric Dentistry. Also, a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Steve served as President of the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry in 2014, after holding nearly every office prior to his appointment. Dr. Steve is proud supporter of the Center for Child Protection, and performed in their "Dancing with the Stars Austin" 2018 fundraiser. 

Dr. Steve began attending the AAPD Leadership institute at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago in 2019. This Institute is a place where Pediatric Dentists hone their philosophical and operational approaches, to maximize their leadership potential and performance. He anticipates completion in 2021.

Joy Angie Hernandez, DDS, referred to by her patients as Dr. Angie, is a compassionate pediatric dentist and orthodontist. She serves children of all ages and abilities from in and around Austin, Texas, at Central Texas Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Angie specializes in pediatric dentistry, including dental exams, white composite fillings, sedation dentistry, and Invisalign®. She uses state-of-the-art dental equipment, including digital X-rays and laser dentistry techniques. 

Dr. Angie grew up in Arkansas and received her Bachelor of Science at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Dr. Angie served a two-year pediatric dentistry residency at the Children’s Medical Center, the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, and the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She went on to complete rigorous fellowship training in orthodontics. 

Dr. Angie is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and local dental societies. She’s also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Texas Association of Pediatric Dentistry. 

Outside of her practice, Dr. Angie spends time with her husband, Dr. Steve, and their five children. She’s extremely active in the communities of Marble Falls, Bee Caves, and Lake Travis, Texas. She volunteers her time and skills to serve underprivileged children through Christina’s Smile and Theo Van. Dr. Angie is also a former rotarian and a past director of the Lake Travis Education Foundation. Currently, Dr. Angie is a proud supporter of the Center for Child Protection, and serves on their fundraising planning committee.

Farzad Sani, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and the owner of Pediatric Dental Group of New York in Albany and Glens Falls, New York. Dr. Sani is one of the top pediatric dentists in New York’s Capital Region. 

Dr. Sani, a native of Los Angeles, California, moved to upstate New York in 2003. As a children’s dental specialist, he is passionate about helping children and teenagers maintain a healthy and beautiful smile by establishing a positive attitude towards dentistry.

While making parents and their children feel comfortable, Dr. Sani sets children on the right path to good dental health by educating them on the importance of healthy teeth. Jamila Balooch, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist practicing at Pediatric Dental Group of New York. She sees patients at their locations in Albany and Glen Falls, New York.

Dr. Jamila was born in California and moved to upstate New York with her family as a teenager. She completed her undergraduate studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. While at Stony Brook, Dr. Jamila found her passion for pediatric dentistry and participated in many local and international outreach missions. She then completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Stony Brook University Hospital, where she served as chief resident. 

In her spare time outside of the office, Dr. Jamila enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and baking. 

She strives to create a safe, trusting and positive environment for her patients and looks forward to meeting them and their families!

Dr. Jennifer Chun was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2010 and a completed a hospital residency program at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY. After completing her residency, Dr. Jenn returned to her hometown of Toronto to embark on her career in general dentistry.

During her time as a general dentist, Dr. Jenn found true gratification in treating and interacting with her pediatric patients. This lead her to pursue a specialty degree in pediatric dentistry at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health and University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Jenn enjoys caring for her pediatric patients of all backgrounds and she strives to provide the most gentle and compassionate dental care possible. She actively participates in continuing education courses and is an active member of AAPD.

Dr. Jenn recently relocated to Albany with her family. She enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, which includes  traveling and learning about new cultures and cuisines with her husband and son.

Molly Kovalesky, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist serving patients at Pediatric Dental Group of New York, with two locations in Albany and Glens Falls, New York. 

Dr. Kovalesky is originally from the Albany Capital Region and graduated from Ballston Spa High School. While completing her middle school science fair project, she discovered her passion for dentistry. She went on to shadow pediatric dentists in high school and immediately knew she was meant for the field. 

An avid Syracuse fan, she attended Syracuse University for her undergraduate education in biochemistry. She went on to study at the University of Maryland in Baltimore for dental school and met her husband while living in Baltimore. She went on to complete her pediatric dental residency at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA where she obtained a strong medical foundation for her training in pediatric dentistry and learned the importance of establishing a positive relationship between patient and dentist from an early age. 

Outside of pediatric dentistry, Dr. Kovalesky enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 crazy dogs. She may also be the biggest Disney fanatic you will ever meet.

Casey Tenniswood, DDS is a board-certified pediatric dentist serving patients at the Pediatric Dental Group of New York. Dr. Casey, as she is better known to her patients, grew up in Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Afterward, she went on to the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery training, and performed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. Dr. Casey relocated to the Capital District over a decade ago and has enjoyed caring for thousands of children in the area. As a mother and a board-certified pediatric dentist, she believes that all children should have a dentist attuned to their specific needs and endeavors to make all appointments positive and encouraging for the patients and their families. When not at the office, Dr. Casey enjoys spending time with her husband, playing with her four sons, and running slowly in races.

Christopher Goodell, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist serving patients at Pediatric Dental Group of New York, with two locations in Albany and Glens Falls, New York.

Dr. Goodell is a North Country native hailing from Plattsburgh, New York. He left the area to attend college at North Carolina State University and then moved on to Boston, where he received his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He remained in Boston for his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals.

With his training in dentistry tied so closely to medicine, Dr. Goodell strongly believes that dental health is an integral part of overall health for children. Healthy teeth allow children to focus in school, maintain good nutrition, and grow with social confidence. The foundations for a lifetime of good oral health should be set in childhood, so Dr. Goodell strives to help children set healthy habits early on. In his free time, Dr. Goodell loves being outside, exercising, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and being with family. He used to want to be on the TV show “Survivor” but now finds that the great outdoors of upstate New York are enough for him.

Brian Park, DDS, is a board-eligible pediatric dentist serving patients at Pediatric Dental Group of New York, with two locations in Albany and Glens Falls, New York.

Dr. Park is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia. He completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal and his graduate studies at New York University College of Dentistry. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he completed his general practice residency and pediatric fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Then, he completed an additional two-year specialty training at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull in Brooklyn, New York. 

Dr. Park understands that each patient is unique and takes pride in being able to adapt his approach to the different needs of his patients. His ultimate goal with every patient is to create positive experiences in the dental chair, which are integral to a lifelong healthy smile. 

Aside from dentistry, Dr. Park loves to spend time with his French Bulldog, Marlo, play video games, and collect sneakers.
