He uses the various skill sets he has acquired within these various settings to craft a treatment approach. He uses what he learns from the patient along with measurable benchmarks to efficiently aid in recovery. Whether your goal is getting back to hiking, getting on and off the floor with the grandchildren, or maybe being able to move with less pain, Josh will strive to help you get there.
Lindsay Fortin is a physical therapist and the Clinical Director of Physical Therapy at Interventional Spine Medicine. Lindsay’s passion for working with the spine began when she became a patient herself following spinal surgery. This experience led her to pursue her Bachelor's in Rehabilitative Sciences in 2005 followed by her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2006, both from Northeastern University. She is also a certified nutritionist through Precision Nutrition and loves learning how food impacts a recovering body.
After graduation, she started her career working on the Spinal Cord Injury team at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital, helping patients recover from spinal trauma as well as other neurological diagnoses, including strokes and traumatic brain injuries. She then found her passion working in the outpatient setting, where she has spent the last 13 years of her career working with patients of all ages and growing her skills throughout various courses including her extensive nutrition certification and certifications in the Graston Technique, kinesiotaping, and cupping.
Along with her clinical experience, Lindsay has also spent a lot of time giving to her community. She has taught Tai Chi classes for nursing home residents, offered nutritional classes and weight loss challenges, run fall prevention programs, and given back safety trainings at local healthcare facilities.
Her personal experience first as a patient, then a therapist, combined with her enthusiasm and knowledge allows her to develop individualized programs based on each patient’s specific needs and she will spend the time making sure you understand your diagnosis and how physical therapy can help.
Lindsay looks forward to helping you have less pain, move easier, and reach your goals.
