About Dr. Blatchford, MD, FACS
Dr. Blatchford was born and raised in Arkansas City, KS and is a graduate of Arkansas City high school. He received an associate of science from Cowley county community college. He then completed his undergraduate education from Southwestern College with a bachelor’s degree in bio, chemistry and molecular biology. He spent two years as an adjunct professor at Cowley County community college. He was then a graduate of the university of Kansas, school of medicine and trained, and his surgical residency at the Carilion clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, during which he received awards, including outstanding instructor of medical students, and the Bruce Baird Award for research in trauma and critical care. After residency, Dr. Blatchford move back to his hometown to practice surgery at South Central Kansas Medical Center. In 2020 Chestnut Wellness was founded.

He graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, holds a Master of Science degree from N. C.
