If you are reading this, you have already taken the first step. How are you feeling? Nervous, relieved, excited, anxious, helpless, overwhelmed, indifferent, eager, all the above? When you decided to seek therapy, you moved yourself out of your comfort zone into your courage zone and that can be scary. Although you may be feeling both undesirable and desirable emotions at this moment, I consider you here as an act of bravery, and I admire your willingness to move toward this 2.0 version of yourself. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I bring a unique approach to my clinical work, empathizing with vulnerability as a key aspect, complemented by a strong sense of empathy and curiosity. I have a deep passion for the therapeutic process and a firm believer in the transformative power of change. I have spent years working with folks who are struggling with many different mental health issues; however, my specialties are listed below.
Eating Disorders - Do you know someone or are you someone who has an unhealthy relationship with food? Treatment includes the following elements: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Acceptance Commitment Therapy. These approaches are aimed toward understanding the roots of one’s eating disorder. Perinatal Concerns - Whether preconception, pregnancy, infertility, miscarriage, or postpartum; your maternal moments matter. Since the beginning of time, birthing folks as well as additional caregivers/parents have struggled with understanding the emotional conflicts that come with parenthood. It is a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to express their feelings, emotions, concerns, and experiences related to postpartum challenges.
Relational Issues - If you’re looking for better communication, repairing trust, or throwing out the rulebook and creating your new paradigm, I’m here to help. One of my key teachings is the importance of vulnerability in a relationship. I encourage couples to open up and share their deepest fears and insecurities.
Most importantly, my practice is guided by an anti-racist/anti-oppressive and multicultural perspective focusing on supporting underserved and marginalized communities. Additionally, I am LGBTQIA+-affirming and keenly aware of the significance of cultural nuances with minority groups.
Hi! I’m Juliana Morgan, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with 15 years of experience. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I’ve worked in a wide variety of settings including community mental health centers, nursing homes, private practice, in-home counseling, and in both elementary and high schools.
My clinical specialties include depression, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, women’s issues, infertility, birth trauma, post-partum, eating disorders, life-cycle transitions, wellness/body image, relational issues, career, codependency, and many more. I utilize cognitive-behavioral and strength-based approaches to create a personalized client-centered experience. I believe that change and growth can happen and aim to guide my client’s on their path of discovery. I value the therapeutic relationship and seek to provide a safe, empathetic, and authentic healing environment.
I discovered my passion to make a difference in others’ lives when I began my career in Behavioral Health over 20 years ago. I am privileged to meet people and together we find the solutions to whatever life problems come into our lives. I have been consistently told by clients that they feel safe and comfortable talking about whatever brings them in and that they feel better when they leave a session. It’s my goal to provide you the ability to leave a session with more than you came with as part of the process of personal growth and healing.
Through life experience, having worked with thousands of people, I share information, methods of coping with situations and people, suggestions of solutions that allow you to make informed decisions about what you want to do. I never judge anyone about anything and am accepting and supportive. I have a positive, professional approach that has shown to be effective to help people with respect and dignity, improve self-esteem and confidence, self-acceptance, and the ability to learn from mistakes.
