About Ms. Madeline Bollinger

People often arrive at therapy having already tried to work things out on their own — and found that thinking harder about a problem doesn't always make it smaller. Maddy's approach creates space for something different: a genuine relationship in which insight, honesty, and even humor can become tools for change.

Maddy is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree from the University of Denver's Counseling Psychology program. Her clinical experience spans public school systems, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, and community-based outpatient settings — a range that has given her fluency with clients at varying levels of acuity and across the lifespan, from adolescents navigating formative transitions to adults managing longstanding relational and emotional patterns.

Her therapeutic approach integrates trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, acceptance and commitment therapy, and psychodynamic thinking — chosen and combined based on what each individual actually needs. Underlying all of it is a relational orientation: the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is a meaningful site of change, not just a vehicle for delivering technique.

Maddy specializes in adolescent and young adult development, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges — including work with couples and family members seeking to understand each other better. She brings authenticity and a light touch to work that is often anything but light, and she has a particular gift for helping people locate their own voice in the middle of confusion or self-doubt.

Accepting new clients. In-person in Seattle, Washington and telehealth throughout both Colorado and Washington.
