Zefu (Robert) Liu, D.O. joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2025. He is Board-Certified and fellowship-trained, specializing in sports medicine, shoulder reconstruction, joint replacement and advanced arthroscopic procedures.

Originally from California, Dr. Liu developed a strong connection to Las Vegas during his time at Touro University Nevada, where he graduated at the top of his class. He is excited to return to the city that helped shape his medical career and to provide high-quality orthopedic care to the growing Las Vegas community.

Dr. Liu completed his orthopedic surgical residency in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as chief resident and was honored with the Resident of the Year award for his leadership, clinical excellence and commitment to patient care. He went on to complete his fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, one of the nation’s premier orthopedic institutions, where he honed his skills in advanced arthroscopic procedures and shoulder reconstructive surgery. While there, he served as a team physician for both Washington University athletics and the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, where he gained extensive experience treating athletes at the highest levels.

Dr. Bradley S. Baker has been a member of Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center since 2010, where he practices out of the Henderson office. Dr. Baker stands out as the sole physician at the center to hold dual board certification in orthopedic surgery and the subspecialty of orthopedic sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, underscoring his profound expertise and commitment to his profession.

Dr. Baker's educational journey is marked by a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from Concordia College in Minnesota, followed by his Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine on a merit scholarship. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas – Wichita and furthered his training with a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the Taos Orthopedic Institute in New Mexico, where he collaborated with the medical staff of the United States Ski and Snowboard Team, enriching his sports medicine proficiency.

Prior to his tenure in Nevada, Dr. Baker practiced in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he specialized in treating knee, shoulder, and sports injuries while serving as a team physician for various sports teams across all levels. His academic contributions included roles as a clinical professor and a pivotal figure in developing a respected health system sports medicine program. Dr. Baker's career path also took him to Arizona, where he further specialized in a small, focused practice before bringing his wealth of experience to Nevada with a continued focus on treating patients with shoulder and knee problems.

His commitment to quality care is evident in his executive roles; he serves as the Vice Chief-of-Staff on the Medical Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Physician Performance Improvement Committee at Henderson Hospital since its inception. Additionally, he is Chairman of the Governing Board at Parkway Surgery Center, demonstrating his dedication to enhancing healthcare delivery and physician performance.

Dr. Baker's career trajectory reflects a steadfast dedication to the orthopedic care he provides. His surgical skills include the most advanced surgical techniques. Daniel Emerson, MD, is a skilled orthopaedic surgeon practicing at Orthopaedic Associates, Inc, which has locations in Henderson, Kentucky, and Newburgh and Evansville, Indiana. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has multiple orthopaedic interests, including trauma, adult reconstruction (total joint replacement), shoulder and knee surgery, and general orthopaedics. 

Dr. Emerson’s special area of expertise is sports medicine, as he obtained the ABOS Subspecialty Certification in Sports Medicine in November 2010. A common but complicated sports injury that he treats is ACL tears and subsequent reconstruction. Dealing with a very active population during his nine years in the military gave him the opportunity to perform hundreds of ACL reconstructions, perfecting the latest advances in surgical management, including anatomic graft placement using the anteromedial portal and double bundle through a single tunnel.

Other special interests of Dr. Emerson include all aspects of workman’s comp injuries and treatments, including causation, return-to-work, permanent impairments, depositions, and independent medical examinations. His particular surgical interests and expertise include managing carpal tunnel syndrome, knee replacement, anterior hip replacement, anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement, and all aspects of shoulder and knee arthroscopy.

Dr. Emerson was born and raised in Evansville and attended Central High School. He graduated with honors from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Following medical school, he served in the Army and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. His final four years in the Army were spent at Fort Benning, Georgia, completing a tour of duty in Iraq in 2008 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and acting as Chief and General Staff of Orthopaedics at Martin Army Community Hospital.

Dr. Emerson is a former NCAA All-American wrestler and is very excited and humbled to be back in our local community and have the opportunity to care for the region’s athletes and local citizens. When not taking care of patients, he enjoys corralling his four children, spending time with his wife and family, traveling, reading, playing guitar and piano, and being outdoors. Dr. Emerson and his wife are a part of the local running community and completed multiple marathons and half-marathons together.

Jasmin Harounian, MD is a dual board-certified Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine Physician with expertise in addressing orthopedic conditions, neck/back pain, sports injuries, nerve conditions, arthritis, and tendon/ligament injuries. 

As a physiatrist, her ultimate goal is to restore function, decrease pain, and improve her patients' overall quality of life. In order to do so, Dr. Harounian implements a wide array of treatment options - from targeted medication management and physical therapy exercise prescription to ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic-guided injections. Her interventional spine procedures include, but are not limited to, epidural injections, medial branch blocks, facet joint and sacroiliac joint injections, and radiofrequency ablations.

Dr. Harounian is a member of several professional organizations including AAPM&R, AMSSM, and IPSIS. She held a nationally elected position as the PM&R Representative on the American Medical Society For Sports Medicine Council and has worked with athletes of various levels and backgrounds: from weekend warriors and recreational joggers to marathon runners and USA Fencing Olympians. She has served as a clinical textbook editor and authored several textbook chapters, as in Braddom’s Rehabilitation Care Handbook, A Case-Based Approach to Shoulder Pain, Essential Sports Medicine, and Telemedicine for the Musculoskeletal Exam, among others. Her clinical and research interests include regenerative medicine, sports-related injuries, innovations in interventional spine procedures, and medical coverage for large-scale sporting events

Rand McClain, DO, is a dedicated regenerative & sports medicine specialist who enjoys helping patients with their complex medical care and providing insightful patient education at Regenerative & Sports Medicine in Santa Monica, CA. 

Dr. McClain received his medical education from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California before pursuing a residency program at Keck Medicine of University of Southern California (USC) Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked with some of the best health innovators in sports and regenerative medicine, as well as aesthetic and family medicine. 

Dr. McClain participated as a sports member in two U.S. teams before becoming an osteopathic physician, and he continues to participate competitively. 

He is an active member of the regenerative medicine community as well. Dr. McClain is the Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Live Cell Research, an organization dedicated to the innovation and development of medical technology that is designed to enhance people’s health and quality of daily life through epigenetic manipulation. 

Dr. McClain is a medical advisory board member at American Cryostem Corporation, Z.E.N Foods and National Veteran Foundation. 

In addition, he is passionate about therapy counseling. With each patient, he always listens to their unique medical concerns, and works hard to provide wonderful patient education so that they can understand all therapy options. 

As a dedicated osteopathic physician, Dr. McClain enjoys studying nutrition, exercise, herbs, supplements, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in his professional as well as personal life. Dr. Eidt is a highly specialized, double board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in both Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and General Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an expert in treating sports-related injuries, particularly those involving complex shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle conditions, with a focus on arthroscopic management.

He attended the military medical school, Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, where he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He earned his undergraduate degree in economics with a minor in chemistry from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Dr. Eidt served 16 years in the U.S. Army, providing care for both adult and pediatric patients with complex traumatic injuries. He was deployed multiple times, including a year stationed along the 38th parallel at the DMZ in South Korea. He also served in combat with the 173rd Airborne Division and the 2nd Forward Surgical Team (FST) at a forward operating base in Afghanistan, with additional assignments at military hospitals in Kandahar and Bagram. For his exceptional care of both military and civilian casualties under combat conditions, Dr. Eidt was awarded the Bronze Star.

After completing his military service, Dr. Eidt relocated with his family to Southern California and joined South Orange County Orthopaedics as a partner, where he continues to practice today. He was also one of the early contributors to the development of the orthopaedic sports medicine community in the region, helping to expand access to specialized care for athletes and active individuals. When he's not in clinic or the operating room, he serves as a consultant and team physician for St. Margaret's Episcopal School's lacrosse team and San Juan Hills High School football. Previously, he supported Trabuco Hills High School and JSerra Catholic High School in the same capacity. He has also served as team physician for the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry Division's wrestling tournaments, along with numerous other local and regional athletic events.

Dr. Joseph Carreau is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, hip, knee, and shoulder joint replacement surgery, athletic injuries, and stem cell therapy. Dr. Carreau has extensive training in adult and pediatric trauma.

Dr. Carreau joined CNOS in 2016 after completing his fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the University of Iowa. He is originally from Colorado where he attended Colorado State University for his undergraduate education. Thereafter, he pursued medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and in 2009 traveled to San Diego to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego. There he received extensive training in adult and pediatric trauma and joint replacement surgery. He developed a special interest in advanced arthroscopy and the treatment of athletic injuries, and thus chose to pursue fellowship training in Sports Medicine through the University of Iowa.

At the University of Iowa, Dr. Carreau was trained by national leaders in the practice of advanced arthroscopic techniques, cartilage transplantation, shoulder instability, patellofemoral problems, ligamentous injury of the knee, and shoulder replacement surgery. He also received extensive training in the treatment of all athletes at the University of Iowa and was assistant team physician to the Hawkeye Football Team during their historic 2015 season.

He currently serves as Orthopaedic team physician to the Wayne State Wildcats and assists with multiple local high schools. Dr. Carreau has published papers on various orthopaedic topics and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Carreau is an avid fisherman and enjoys the outdoors and sending time with his wife and children.
