David Drez Jr., M.D., Senior Advisor at Center for Orthopaedics, is originally from DeQuincy, Louisiana, and earned his undergraduate and Medical Degree from Tulane University. He completed a residency in general surgery and in orthopaedic surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans – Tulane Service. Dr. Drez published a large body of research that focused primarily on athletic injuries and their prevention and treatment options, particularly injuries of the knee and shoulder. He is a co-author of Orthopedic Sports Medicine, the highly acclaimed guidebook for sports medicine physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers; and was co-editor of Operative Techniques in Sports Medicine.
He served as a clinical professor of orthopaedics at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. In recognition of his contributions to the education of orthopaedists, the “Dr. David Drez Chair in Orthopedic Sports Medicine” was dedicated at LSU in New Orleans in 2006. Dr. Drez served as a team physician at McNeese State University for 37 years and was inducted into the McNeese State University Hall of Fame. The rehabilitation area of the university’s Sports Medicine Center was also named the “David Drez Jr., MD, Rehabilitation Facility.” In 2017, Dr. Drez received the Jack Weakley Award of Distinction from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), which is given to honor one individual each year for a lifetime of outstanding contributions that directly impact health care in the area of athletics, athletic training, or sports medicine and are of major and lasting importance.

Zefu (Robert) Liu, D.O. joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2025. He is Board-Certified and fellowship-trained, specializing in sports medicine, shoulder reconstruction, joint replacement and advanced arthroscopic procedures.
Originally from California, Dr. Liu developed a strong connection to Las Vegas during his time at Touro University Nevada, where he graduated at the top of his class. He is excited to return to the city that helped shape his medical career and to provide high-quality orthopedic care to the growing Las Vegas community.
Dr. Liu completed his orthopedic surgical residency in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as chief resident and was honored with the Resident of the Year award for his leadership, clinical excellence and commitment to patient care. He went on to complete his fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, one of the nation’s premier orthopedic institutions, where he honed his skills in advanced arthroscopic procedures and shoulder reconstructive surgery. While there, he served as a team physician for both Washington University athletics and the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, where he gained extensive experience treating athletes at the highest levels.

Dr. Joseph Carreau is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, hip, knee, and shoulder joint replacement surgery, athletic injuries, and stem cell therapy. Dr. Carreau has extensive training in adult and pediatric trauma.
Dr. Carreau joined CNOS in 2016 after completing his fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the University of Iowa. He is originally from Colorado where he attended Colorado State University for his undergraduate education. Thereafter, he pursued medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and in 2009 traveled to San Diego to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego. There he received extensive training in adult and pediatric trauma and joint replacement surgery. He developed a special interest in advanced arthroscopy and the treatment of athletic injuries, and thus chose to pursue fellowship training in Sports Medicine through the University of Iowa.
At the University of Iowa, Dr. Carreau was trained by national leaders in the practice of advanced arthroscopic techniques, cartilage transplantation, shoulder instability, patellofemoral problems, ligamentous injury of the knee, and shoulder replacement surgery. He also received extensive training in the treatment of all athletes at the University of Iowa and was assistant team physician to the Hawkeye Football Team during their historic 2015 season.
He currently serves as Orthopaedic team physician to the Wayne State Wildcats and assists with multiple local high schools. Dr. Carreau has published papers on various orthopaedic topics and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Carreau is an avid fisherman and enjoys the outdoors and sending time with his wife and children.
Dr. Bradley S. Baker has been a member of Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center since 2010, where he practices out of the Henderson office. Dr. Baker stands out as the sole physician at the center to hold dual board certification in orthopedic surgery and the subspecialty of orthopedic sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, underscoring his profound expertise and commitment to his profession.
Dr. Baker's educational journey is marked by a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from Concordia College in Minnesota, followed by his Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine on a merit scholarship. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas – Wichita and furthered his training with a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the Taos Orthopedic Institute in New Mexico, where he collaborated with the medical staff of the United States Ski and Snowboard Team, enriching his sports medicine proficiency.

Dr. Eidt is a highly specialized, double board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in both Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and General Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an expert in treating sports-related injuries, particularly those involving complex shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle conditions, with a focus on arthroscopic management.
He attended the military medical school, Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, where he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He earned his undergraduate degree in economics with a minor in chemistry from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Dr. Eidt served 16 years in the U.S. Army, providing care for both adult and pediatric patients with complex traumatic injuries. He was deployed multiple times, including a year stationed along the 38th parallel at the DMZ in South Korea. He also served in combat with the 173rd Airborne Division and the 2nd Forward Surgical Team (FST) at a forward operating base in Afghanistan, with additional assignments at military hospitals in Kandahar and Bagram. For his exceptional care of both military and civilian casualties under combat conditions, Dr. Eidt was awarded the Bronze Star.
After completing his military service, Dr. Eidt relocated with his family to Southern California and joined South Orange County Orthopaedics as a partner, where he continues to practice today. He was also one of the early contributors to the development of the orthopaedic sports medicine community in the region, helping to expand access to specialized care for athletes and active individuals. When he's not in clinic or the operating room, he serves as a consultant and team physician for St. Margaret's Episcopal School's lacrosse team and San Juan Hills High School football. Previously, he supported Trabuco Hills High School and JSerra Catholic High School in the same capacity. He has also served as team physician for the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry Division's wrestling tournaments, along with numerous other local and regional athletic events.
