Alaa N. Mansour, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and surgeon at Gentle Foot and Ankle Care in Madison Heights, Michigan.
Dr. Mansour is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Mansour earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Illinois and attended medical school at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine. He then completed his surgical residency at Beaumont Hospital where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the Foot and Ankle Institute in Indianapolis.
Dr. Mansour is board certified and has extensive training in the treatment of complex foot and ankle deformities as well as fractures, bunions, flat feet, and arthritis. He has a practice emphasis in ankle joint replacements and also has a special interest in innovative treatments such as 3D printed custom implants for limb salvage and deformity correction. Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Kerwin completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. Following medical school, he worked on malignant melanoma research at the Laboratory of Molecular Dermatology in the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and then went on to complete his internship at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital (formerly Ascension Crittenton Hospital) in Rochester Hills, Michigan. In 2004, Rafi's family moved to Michigan, United States, seeking new opportunities and a fresh start.
Driven by his intellectual curiosity and desire to make a difference, Rafi pursued higher education. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Wayne State University. Fueling his ambition further, Rafi went on to achieve a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2020. Dr. Burkardt is a Michigan native originally from Monroe, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science from Siena Heights University in 1999.
