Dr. Ezeugwu earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency training through Seton Hall University at St. Joseph Hospital, New Jersey. He pursued fellowship training in critical care medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York; cardiology at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York; and interventional cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He holds a PhD in Health Services from Walden University, Minneapolis, and a Master of Science in Biology–Oncology from Niagara University, New York — a combination of credentials spanning clinical practice, critical care, research, and health-systems leadership. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in cardiovascular disease, and holds fellowship designations from three of the most distinguished professional societies in medicine: the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the American College of Physicians (FACP), and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). Philanthropic Work: Just Heart Help Inc.

In 2004, Dr. Ezeugwu founded Just Heart Help Inc., a Baltimore-based nonprofit through which he has provided educational scholarships to underprivileged students in the United States, Nigeria, and Zambia; refurbished dilapidated primary schools; reconstructed clean-water supply systems; and provided resources to churches and communities in Nsukka, Nigeria. Dr. Ezeugwu has authored numerous medical articles, book chapters, dissertations, health-care blogs, and educational videos throughout his career, yet he considers his theological writing to be his most significant work.
