I am an Idaho native, who enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors with my family. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, and earned my Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West. I understand the importance of being well-versed in several chiropractic techniques including Diversified, Activator and Thompson. I love my practice and patients! My love for animals also inspired me to study Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, and 2009 I was certified to adjust horses, dogs and cats. I also attended and graduated from the Animal Chiropractic program at Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas, and become a board certified animal chiropractor with the American Chiropractic Veterinary Association (AVCA). Dr Jensen (former professional baseball player) is an instructor all over the world for CCEP (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Physician) and STP (Smart Tools Plus). Michael Henze, DC, is a chiropractor, wellness specialist, and the founder of Henze Chiropractic & Wellness in Boise, Idaho.
Dr. Henze was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, from the age of 7 onward. He’s been practicing and serving the Boise community for over 26 years.
Dr. Henze graduated cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1996. He’s served in various capacities throughout his career, including as the Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians (IACP) District 2 Representative, IACP Vice President, IACP Insurance Committee Member, an International Chiropractic Association (ICA) State Representative, and the Idaho State Board of Chiropractic Physicians Board Vice Chair.
Dr. Henze developed Spanish as a second language while serving on a church service mission in Chile from 1983 to 1984.
Dr. Henze has been active in his community, church, and the Boy Scouts of America for 30+ years. He’s also volunteered in Youth Team Athletics as a coach and umpire.
Outside of the office, he is an avid boater—something he’s done all his life. He enjoys wakesurfing especially.
Dr. Henze is also interested in motorcycles, snow skiing, snowmobiling, backpacking, hiking, camping, ATV’ing, and offroading in his Jeep. He’s also gotten into gardening over the past few years.
“I was having foot issues so went to Dr. Henze and he recommended orthotics. I had an issue with my right knee that my doctor said was tendinitis, but after using the orthotics my knee issue went away. Now that spring is here I ordered another set for my golf shoes since I plan twice a week and want a dedicated set for my golf shoes.”
