Dr. Nieves was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. She proceeded to complete her Internal Medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Cornell in New York City, followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts.
