I take an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and goals. My work draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including humanistic, psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed approaches.
I believe that many of the patterns, coping strategies, and protective mechanisms we develop early in life serve an important purpose, helping us navigate difficult experiences and environments. As adults, however, some of these same patterns may no longer support the life we want to live. Together, we work to understand these longstanding dynamics with curiosity and compassion, while creating space for new ways of relating to ourselves and others.

I am a fully licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State and a board-certified National Certified Counselor (NCC). I am also currently pursuing certification as a sex therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).

You may lead us wherever you’d like but every so often, I will stop to make sure we take in the scenery and appreciate each moment our journey has to offer.   My journey into the field of counseling began at Queens College, City University of New York, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I then continued my educational career at Minnesota’s Walden University, where I majored and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have held previous positions that have allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of human behavior and its connection to the human mind. Additionally, I have experience working with a variety of issues that include, but are not limited to, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship conflict, depression, adjustment, trauma, and mood disorders.I look forward to working with you!

I am a Brooklyn native and senior psychotherapist who is proficient in working with clients to broaden their awareness of themselves, their thoughts, and their feelings. My primary goals are to: provide counseling through a sex positive and inclusive framework and provide a therapeutic space that is non-judgmental, authentic, respectful, and collaborative. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s degree in Mental Health & Counseling at Hofstra University. I have always been passionate about helping others and have been in the field of psychology for over 7 years. As a clinician, I work with adolescents and adults who have experienced or are living life with trauma, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, mood disturbances, and/or grief.

I offer therapy that is largely rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based approaches. Tatyana earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University. She trained at Erie County Medical Center where she provided adolescents with individual counseling and group counseling. She also trained at Niagara County Department of Mental Health where she provided adults with individual and group counseling services. She has been working in the mental health field since 2017 at various levels of care and has tended to a variety of populations with diverse issues and needs. Tatyana has worked at the private practice level for two years where she works with adolescents and adults by providing them individual therapy to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Tatyana prides herself on being able to genuinely engage in the therapeutic relationship and treatment plan, and being able to express empathy for the clients and their specific needs. Tatyana's personal theoretical orientation is person-centered, rooted in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and MI, to improve your overall functioning. Heavy emphasis on relationships and attachments is also at the root of her practice. By empowering clients to begin the healing process, Tatyana’s goals are to help clients process and resolve feelings of incongruence and install feelings of hope and success.

I have experience working with clients from different age groups and diverse ethnic background attending therapy for an array of issues such as mood disturbances, depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, stress, life transitions, and anger issues. The approach and techniques I use in therapy are based on the needs of the client. Most commonly used approaches are CBT, family systems therapy, play/art therapies, and humanistic approach. I also conduct therapy in the Spanish language for those clients in need of a bilingual therapist.

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I completed my BA in Forensic Psychology and minor in human services at John Jay College. I obtained my MA in Mental Health Counseling from New York University.
