Jessica Taff, MD, is a triple board-certified Hematologist, Medical Oncologist, and Internist.  Through her leadership role at Coastal Hematology & Oncology Center, Dr. Taff is honored to serve the communities of Toms River and Forked River, New Jersey, where she was born and raised. 

Education has always played a central role in Dr. Taff’s life. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Dr. Taff went on to complete her residency at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York City, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She also completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at NYU Langone Medical Center, and was again selected to serve as Chief Fellow for Hematology/Oncology. 

While there, Dr. Taff was named Fellow of the Year, and selected to participate in the highly competitive research Conference  ASCO/AACR Workshop in Methods in Clinical Cancer Research in Vail, Colorado, and worked the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. Through her extensive research experience helping to develop new and improved cancer treatments, she trained with many of the nation’s top Hematology and Oncology physicians. 

Dr. Taff is passionate about cancer research and has presented her work at numerous national and international medical conferences and symposia. As advancements in research and medical technology forge ahead, Dr. Taff is excited to remain on the cutting-edge of cancer treatment. 

In addition to being well-published in the field of oncology, Dr. Taff prioritizes an outstanding bedside manner. She is warm and personable, takes the time to get to know the patients in her care, and is accessible at all times.

Dr. Taff understands the emotional component of cancer care and strives to help her patients understand what to expect and how to incorporate self-care into their treatment journey. Mary Alaina Burbage graduated with a Master of Science Nurse Practitioner degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Nursing from Georgetown University. She has been working in primary care as a family NP since 2016. Before that, she was an RN at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Her patient care philosophy is founded on the Jesuit ideal of cura personalis, caring for the whole person. She is passionate about primary care and the importance of preventative medicine to help keep you healthy. She originally went into nursing with dreams of working in Africa and has done several medical and community volunteer trips including to Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Peru, and Guatemala. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks with her family and adorable rescue dog Sasha, traveling, and yoga.

Michele Reed, DO, FAAFP, is a board-certified family medicine physician, public speaker, and best-selling author. She serves as the owner/medical director of MS Family Medicine Health Care, P.C., a holistic practice that is located in Garden City, Long Island. She advised the patient to avoid such allergens and prescribed an Epi pen to be used in the event of a life -threatening Allergic reaction.
