My therapeutic approach is person-centered, which allows me to provide a safe environment where you are free to share and speak about anything that you feel is important to address. Think of our time as a road trip to self-discovery, where you are the driver, and I am in the passenger’s seat with a map. You may lead us wherever you’d like but every so often, I will stop to make sure we take in the scenery and appreciate each moment our journey has to offer.   My journey into the field of counseling began at Queens College, City University of New York, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I then continued my educational career at Minnesota’s Walden University, where I majored and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have held previous positions that have allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of human behavior and its connection to the human mind. Additionally, I have experience working with a variety of issues that include, but are not limited to, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship conflict, depression, adjustment, trauma, and mood disorders.I look forward to working with you!

I am a Brooklyn native and senior psychotherapist who is proficient in working with clients to broaden their awareness of themselves, their thoughts, and their feelings. My primary goals are to: provide counseling through a sex positive and inclusive framework and provide a therapeutic space that is non-judgmental, authentic, respectful, and collaborative. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s degree in Mental Health & Counseling at Hofstra University. I have always been passionate about helping others and have been in the field of psychology for over 7 years. As a clinician, I work with adolescents and adults who have experienced or are living life with trauma, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, mood disturbances, and/or grief.

I offer therapy that is largely rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based approaches. I specialize in Eye-movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based approach effective in treating: anger, emotional eating, procrastination/avoidance behaviors/indecision, relationship enrichment/healing, and stress management to name a few.

Tatyana earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University. She trained at Erie County Medical Center where she provided adolescents with individual counseling and group counseling. She also trained at Niagara County Department of Mental Health where she provided adults with individual and group counseling services. She has been working in the mental health field since 2017 at various levels of care and has tended to a variety of populations with diverse issues and needs. Tatyana has worked at the private practice level for two years where she works with adolescents and adults by providing them individual therapy to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Tatyana prides herself on being able to genuinely engage in the therapeutic relationship and treatment plan, and being able to express empathy for the clients and their specific needs. Tatyana's personal theoretical orientation is person-centered, rooted in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and MI, to improve your overall functioning. Heavy emphasis on relationships and attachments is also at the root of her practice. By empowering clients to begin the healing process, Tatyana’s goals are to help clients process and resolve feelings of incongruence and install feelings of hope and success.

I have experience working with clients from different age groups and diverse ethnic background attending therapy for an array of issues such as mood disturbances, depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, stress, life transitions, and anger issues. The approach and techniques I use in therapy are based on the needs of the client. Most commonly used approaches are CBT, family systems therapy, play/art therapies, and humanistic approach. I also conduct therapy in the Spanish language for those clients in need of a bilingual therapist.

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I completed my BA in Forensic Psychology and minor in human services at John Jay College. I obtained my MA in Mental Health Counseling from New York University.

Anastasios Manessis, MD, FACE, ECNU, ABOM, is a double-board certified physician at  Endocrine Associates of West Village PC in Murray Hill, Manhattan, and Long Island City, New York, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism and obesity medicine. Dr. Manessis has an endocrine certification in neck ultrasounds and has extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hormonal dysfunction, and obesity.  

Dr. Manessis pursued his undergraduate education at Manhattan College, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Manessis completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at New York Medical College at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York. Following a year as chief medical resident, he completed a two-year clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, where his research interest, among others, involved the use of insulin pumps in patients with Type II diabetes. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Manessis was a faculty member in the Department of Medicine at New York Medical College from 2008-2010. He then joined the faculty of New York University in 2011. He has been involved in many clinical research projects, including long-term studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GLP-I agonists and weight loss agents. Dr. Manessis’ primary clinical interest includes the treatment of diabetic patients with insulin pumps and how it has benefited the well-being of patients long-term.

Henock Saint-Jacques, MD, FACC, is a distinguished cardiologist and head clinician at Harlem Cardiology on Madison Avenue in East Harlem of New York City.
