About Magdangela Kosmetatos, LMHC

I believe as unique individuals, we all have the strength and power within us to help improve our way of life. I am here to serve as an understanding, empathic, and non-judgmental support system as we navigate through the initial concerns that brought you to therapy. Understanding the significant relationship between our own thoughts, experiences, and behaviors will assist in developing a stronger sense of self and a higher form of functioning in the world. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, which allows me to provide a safe environment where you are free to share and speak about anything that you feel is important to address. Think of our time as a road trip to self-discovery, where you are the driver, and I am in the passenger’s seat with a map. You may lead us wherever you’d like but every so often, I will stop to make sure we take in the scenery and appreciate each moment our journey has to offer.
 
My journey into the field of counseling began at Queens College, City University of New York, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I then continued my educational career at Minnesota’s Walden University, where I majored and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have held previous positions that have allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of human behavior and its connection to the human mind. Additionally, I have experience working with a variety of issues that include, but are not limited to, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship conflict, depression, adjustment, trauma, and mood disorders.I look forward to working with you!
