Gitendra Rajiyah, MD, is a double-board-certified internal medicine physician and cardiologist at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, serving patients at the East Orange, New Jersey, office on Evergreen Place. The practice also has offices in West Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Newark, and Bloomfield, New Jersey. 

Dr. Rajiyah studied at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He then spent several years gaining experience in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, neurology, geriatrics, and psychology.

In 1988, Dr. Rajiyah enrolled at the University of London in the United Kingdom and completed an internal medicine and psychiatry fellowship at the University College Hospital. He moved to the United States the following year and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark.

Dr. Rajiyah also spent one year as a dedicated researcher under the guidance of Timothy Reagan, MD, chairman of the Division of Cardiology at New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) Rutgers Health. He also completed a cardiology fellowship, serving patients at several hospitals throughout New Jersey. 

Dr. Rajiyah is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He’s also a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the British Medical Association, and the Sri Lanka Medical Association. 

While Dr. Rajiyah specializes in internal medicine and cardiology, he also has a special interest in gastroenterology. He is very active in the New Jersey medical community and serves on the Critical Care Committee at East Orange General Hospital and served as chief of cardiology there between 2005-2009.

Dr. Myriam Sterlin is a double-board-certified internal medicine and infectious disease physician at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, who sees patients at the West Orange, Maplewood, and South Orange offices.  

Dr. Sterlin studied at Université d'État d'Haïti, Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, earning her medical degree. After graduation, she completed two internal medicine residencies: the first at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and the second at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), both in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Sterlin also completed an infectious disease fellowship at UMDNJ.  

Dr. Sterlin diagnoses and treats acute and chronic health problems, but she has a special interest in allied illnesses and infectious diseases. Dr. Sterlin is especially knowledgeable in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). 

Dr. Sterlin is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She’s also a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) and the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad.

Igor Chernyavskiy, MD, is a top-ranked pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist providing patients in Brooklyn, NY 11235 with one of the best and unparalleled levels of care for an array of acute and chronic lung conditions and diseases and sleep disorders.

Dr. Chernyavskiy earned his medical degree at Krasnoyarsk State Medical University in Russia, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ, and a fellowship in pulmonary care at the State University of New York (SUNY), Stony Brook.

Michael Liou, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a skilled, board certified interventional cardiologist practicing at Chinatown Cardiology P.C., which has locations in Flushing, Brooklyn, Chinatown, and the Upper West Side of Manhattan. 

Dr. Liou earned his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine after completing the prestigious Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at CUNY City College. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center and performed his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at Beth Israel Medical Center (now known as Mount Sinai Beth Israel) and returned to NYU Langone Medical Center for his advanced interventional cardiology subspecialty fellowship. 

Although he provides care for all cardiovascular conditions, Dr. Liou’s clinical expertise is in performing transradial cardiac catheterization, peripheral endovascular intervention, percutaneous mitral & aortic valvuloplasty, and ASD/PFO closure. Arsalan Rehmani, MD, FACC, FSCAI is an Interventional and General Cardiologist at Chinatown Cardiology P.C. Dr. Rehmani completed his residency at BronxCare Health System followed by subspecialty fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital. Dr. Jacqueline Chan received her Medical Degree from New York Medical College.   She completed her Internal Medicine residency in addition to a chief resident year at the former St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center.   Dr. Chan began her Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at St.   Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center and transitioned to New York Methodist Hospital to complete her clinical training.   She is proficient in exercise treadmill stress test, echocardiography, nuclear myocardial perfusion scan, and peripheral vascular duplex.   Dr. Chan completed training as a vein specialist and performs radiofrequency venous ablation in our ambulatory procedure lab.  Currently, she is the Medical Director of Echocardiography and Vascular Imaging for our accredited ICAEL and ACR facility.  Dr. Chan is multi-board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Diseases.

Jennifer Chen, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular diseases at Chinatown Cardiology, PC, in the Chinatown section of New York City and Brooklyn and Flushing, New York. Dr. Chen earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley. She then went on to complete her medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, New York. She performed her residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and her fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. David Lau received his Medical Degree and PhD degree in Physiology and Biophysics from NYU School of Medicine.   He completed his entire clinical training in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Columbia University - Presbyterian Medical Center.   Dr. Lau specializes in general cardiology and is an expert at the diagnosis of electrophysiological disorders and management after pacemaker, defibrillator, and remote cardiac monitor implantation.   Dr. Lau has presented his research at national meetings and published extensively in the area of electrophysiology.   He has a particular interest in the management of syncope and palpitations.   Dr. Lau is multi-board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and is Registered in Vascular Interpretations.

Dr. Henry Siu earned his Medical Degree from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education/SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed his post-graduated training in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, and Cardiology/Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. 

Dr. Siu has expertise in general cardiology, multi-modality cardiac imaging, and vascular imaging. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Siu is highly skilled in cardiac catheterizations and peripheral vascular interventions, and management of complex coronary/valvular heart disease. Natalie Marks, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon who serves the community of Borough Park in Brooklyn, New York, at the Vascular Institute of New York. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Marks is passionate about using the latest advancements in medical technology to diagnose and treat a wide range of vascular conditions, including hypertension, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), venous leg ulcers, and diabetic vascular disease.

Hitesh Patel, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and obesity medicine. He provides expert, compassionate primary care at Premier Healthcare Associates, PC, conveniently located in a state-of-the-art facility near Ocean University Medical Center (OUMC), part of Hackensack Meridian Health, in Brick, New Jersey.
