She served as chief resident at USC during her internal medicine residency and as chief cardiology fellow at Harbor-UCLA.
She is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, with additional certifications in adult echocardiography and cardiovascular computed tomography. Dr. Ortega is an active member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and a recipient of multiple honors, including Physician of the Year at Harbor-UCLA and the Excellence in Primary Care Award from LAC+USC.

Dr. Shaun Daneshrad, MD, FACC, is a leading internist and cardiologist in the Greater Los Angeles area, providing adults in and around Beverly Hills, CA, with skilled and compassionate care in all areas of internal medicine. As a double board-certified physician, Dr. Daneshrad has extensive experience in both internal medicine issues and cardiology. He maintains professional relationships with several area hospitals including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Olympia Medical Center, and has served as the clinical chief of cardiology at both Brotman Medical Center and Olympia Medical Center. He has been an active member of Cedars-Sinai's Performance Improvement Committee too.
At Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Daneshrad provides advanced cardiac care and intervention including treatments for atrial fibrillation, valve disorders and dysfunctions, mitral valve regurgitation, atrial septal defect and patent foramen ovale.
