Adam Weitzman, MD, is a Pain Management physician who practices in four Los Angeles locations, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Torrance and Seal Beach, California. He is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. 

Dr. Weitzman earned his medical degree and graduated with honors from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. He then completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania before completing a residency in anesthesiology at Temple University, both in Philadelphia. Afterward, he finished an ACGME recognized fellowship in pain management at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in New York City, where he served as chief fellow.

Eric Castleman, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and internist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Los Angeles. Dr. Castleman earned his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City before moving to California for his medical training. A longtime academic, Dr. Banka graduated with honors in biology and health policy from Harvard University. Before attending Stanford University School of Medicine, he spent a year building the Indian government's healthcare system with the Clinton Foundation. He later completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Dr. Banka is trained in all aspects of cardiology but specializes in cardiac imaging. He’s currently Director of Echo at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and part of the Department of Radiology, where he interprets cardiac CTs. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echo, CT, nuclear medicine, and certified in cardiac MRI. He has served on national guideline committees for cardiac care and has published over 20 research publications and presentations at international medical conferences.

With more than eight years of experience, Dr. Banka performs several services at COR Healthcare Medical Associates, including heart disease management, heart attack treatment, valvular disease, congestive heart failure, preventative cardiac care, and treatment for hypertension (high blood pressure) and high cholesterol.

When he isn’t working with patients, Dr. Banka loves playing saxophone and guitar and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Born and raised in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Wong was a three-sport athlete and musician in high-school.  He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to study Computer Science and Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California.  After graduating from the Keck School of Medicine at USC, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the LAC+USC Medical Center, and he was honored as Senior Resident of the Year during his final year.  After residency, Dr. Wong stayed at LAC+USC for his fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology.

On a personal note, Dr. Wong is married to his high-school sweetheart, Lindsay.  They spend their spare time with their two daughters and miniature dachshund.  When they are not taxiing the kids to soccer and ninja warrior practice, they enjoy hiking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.

Dr. Wong takes a very personal approach to his patient care, developing a close rapport with all his patients in this small boutique-style practice.  His training at the Los Angeles County Hospital has made him an extremely thorough and experienced physician, providing the highest quality evidence-based treatment.  He is especially adept at the management of difficult-to-treat asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, and sinus disease.  He is also well-versed in the most current literature and treatment guidelines for food allergies, drug allergies, immunodeficiencies, urticaria, contact dermatitis, and other skin allergies.

Arash Aghel, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Los Angeles. He sees patients at the Torrance, California office where he specializes in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart, and peripheral vascular interventions.

Dr. Aghel earned his medical degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran before moving to Cleveland for his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University.  He then moved to Colorado and completed 2 additional years of training in interventional cardiology and advanced structural and vascular interventions at the University of Colorado in Denver.

Dr. Aghel joins COR Healthcare Medical Associates from Colorado where he was busy practicing interventional cardiology for the past 7 years. He treats the entire scope of cardiac disease including complex coronary interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and peripheral vascular intervention with a focus on limb salvage/preservation.

He is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, vascular interpretation, and endovascular medicine.

Dr. Aghel is fluent in English and Farsi.

Outside of work, Dr. Aghel enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters.

Sagar Patel, MD, is a general cardiologist at COR Medical Associates. He specializes in non-invasive cardiology and advanced imaging.

Dr. Patel earned his medical doctorate at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He completed his internal medicine residency at LAC+USC Medical Center/Keck Hospital of USC and his cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Adult Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and Nuclear Medicine, and is board-eligible in Cardiology.

He has clinical interest in preventative cardiology, cholesterol management, hypertension, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, and coronary artery disease.

As a southern California native, Dr. Patel is a huge fan of LA sports teams. He is an avid traveler, including exploring new national parks. He also enjoys live music and regularly attends concerts. He is proficient in Spanish.

Brenton Bauer, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare in Los Angeles. He sees patients at the Torrance, Redondo Beach and El Segundo offices in addition to the cardiology department at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.  He specializes in general cardiology, cardio-oncology, and advanced cardiac imaging.

Dr. Bauer completed his medical education and advanced training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In addition to earning his Doctor of Medicine with honors, Dr. Bauer completed an internal medicine internship and residency, serving as chief resident, and a cardiovascular disease fellowship serving as chief fellow. He has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in addition to subspecialty boards of Echocardiography, Cardiovascular CT, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Bauer has written extensively for medical journals and other publications.

An award-winning physician, Dr. Bauer has been named to the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) national conference program faculty, as an ACC National FIT (Fellows in Training) Jeopardy Competition finalist, as a finalist for the UCLA Most Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award, and won the best poster presentation in congenital heart disease at the American College of Cardiology’s 2015 conference, among others.

In his leisure time, Dr. Bauer loves traveling the world with his wife and junior high sweetheart.  They particularly enjoy experiencing different cultures, trying amazing food, and learning different languages (to which he is fluent in English and Spanish and working on others including Italian).
