Dr. French has served as my family doctor for well over 20 years. He clearly has a busy practice, but manages to work effectively and efficiently with the available time. He asks good questions, and listens to the answers. He Show moreis proactive in recommending vaccinations and/or lifestyle changes to head off future problems. He makes effective use of computerized records, and makes sure I get copies of everything relevant. In addition, his office/medical staff is responsive and professional. The office itself is clean and surprisingly roomy. I am not sure that Dr. French is accepting new patients. If he is, I recommend that you sign up.
Very pleasant office. Hardly had to wait. Check-in staff were very friendly. Techs (Anna and i forgot the other one’s name) were very thorough. Dr. Banks was very patient and listened to my concerns and suggested that dehydration Show morecould be one of the reasons for my dizziness issue. He couldn’t find any problems. He ordered a heart monitor to make sure there are no electrical issues (electrical? How can heart have electrical problems? Did I hear right?) any way I will have to wear the monitor for a week or so and see if they will find any issues). I trust Dr. Banks, nice guy.
Gaurav Banka, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist with a wide range of experience in both cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Banka is proud to bring integrative care to the communities of Los Angeles at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Torrance and Redondo Beach, California.
A longtime academic, Dr. Banka graduated with honors in biology and health policy from Harvard University. Before attending Stanford University School of Medicine, he spent a year building the Indian government's healthcare system with the Clinton Foundation. He later completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Dr. Banka is trained in all aspects of cardiology but specializes in cardiac imaging. He’s currently Director of Echo at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and part of the Department of Radiology, where he interprets cardiac CTs. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echo, CT, nuclear medicine, and certified in cardiac MRI. He has served on national guideline committees for cardiac care and has published over 20 research publications and presentations at international medical conferences.
With more than eight years of experience, Dr. Banka performs several services at COR Healthcare Medical Associates, including heart disease management, heart attack treatment, valvular disease, congestive heart failure, preventative cardiac care, and treatment for hypertension (high blood pressure) and high cholesterol.
When he isn’t working with patients, Dr. Banka loves playing saxophone and guitar and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Dr. Banka is incredibly knowledgable, kind and patient. His memory of his patients extends beyond what I've experienced elsewhere. For example, he not only recalls the ailments, but also what I do for work. I never feel rushed during our visits - instead he patiently asks "is there anything else on your mind?". This is refreshing. It's this approach and his attention to subtle details that make a huge difference in patient experience.

Dr. Banka is a very exceptional Cardiologist. I have a strong family history of heart disease. He is extremely knowledgeable and has done everything he can to do including putting my whole Medical History together and to ease my mind over my concerns. He is honest, no nonsense, truthful and speaks in a manner that a layperson can understand with dignity always in mind. I have also gotten very good reception with his office staff, always able to answer my questions and direct me in an appropriate manner and to the correct office staff.
