Her interest in integrated medicine led her to Arizona where she attended Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, earning her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND). At SCNM, Dr. O'Connell interned with leaders in the field of regenerative and physical medicine, learning fundamental and cutting-edge pain relief strategies. Dr. O'Connell has additional training in rheumatology, endocrinology, functional neurology, IV therapy, and metabolic disease.

Following graduation from SCNM, Dr. O'Connell was accepted to a rigorous, highly specialized interventional orthopedics and pain residency in Beaverton, Oregon. There she trained in precision orthopedic diagnostics and image-guided musculoskeletal injection therapies. She is a current member of the Naturopathic Orthopedic Medicine Academy.

Personal Interests
Dr. O'Connell balances her life by continuing to paint, draw, shoot photography, make funny videos, sing in her church's praise band, volunteer as a high school girls youth leader, and practice Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiujitsu. I grew up on a Maryland farm in a rural town with a population under 800. In my youth I walked to and from school and on weekends I rode horses with my friends. From a young age I showed a penchant for visual art but also science. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s in Graphic Design. Since there was no sufficient job market for designers in Maryland, I decided to move to Manhattan because I wanted to experience the art and culture that NYC had to offer. As it turned out, design work was a poor fit and I loathed sitting in an office all day staring at the monitor. I soon resigned and quickly became immersed in dance and acting. For the longest time, dance was my life. After performing for over 11 years, I longed to help people on a higher level and dreamed of a job that would satisfy my soul.
 

I moved to Arizona in 2012 and graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in 2015. My primary interests include medical aesthetics, hormones and anti-aging, men’s and women’s health, endocrinology, and preventive wellness. In my spare time I like to stay physically active as much as possible. I am also a certified Pilates teacher. My hobbies include dance, theater, fine art, cooking, being outdoors, and traveling.

Dr. Kirt Tyson, N.M.D. is board certified in Naturopathic Family Medicine and Pain Management. Dr. Tyson graduated from Morehouse College with a degree of Bachelors of Science in Biology. He later went on to earn his Naturopathic Medical Doctorate from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. After completing medical school he obtained additional knowledge and received a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from the T. Collin Campbell Foundation at Cornell University. Dr. Tyson post doctorate training also includes anti-aging and regenerative medicine, men’s health and interventional pain management. Humaira Quraishi, ND, MS, is a naturopathic doctor serving patients at her practice in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She aims to inspire, empower, educate, and treat her patients’ health issues.

Born in Pakistan, Dr. Quraishi immigrated to the United States with her parents when she was 4 years old. She has traveled to Pakistan throughout her life to visit family, and during that time, she gained an awareness of health and wellness in both countries. There were differences but also similarities, such as doctors quickly seeing patients without proper care or guidance into their lifestyle as well as the lack of education about illnesses. 

With these in mind, Dr. Quraishi knew there was more to health than just prescribing medication to mask symptoms. She wanted to get to the root of the problem and help prevent diseases in the first place. Thus, she began her quest into naturopathic medicine and nutrition.

Dr. Quraishi graduated with her Bachelor of Science in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Alison R. Maloof is originally from Western Massachusetts. After spending time living and working in Florida, California, and the United Kingdom, she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Maloof completed a two-year accredited residency in Vermont after medical school. Since childhood, Dr. Maloof has had an interest in the healing arts, but it wasn’t until she started teaching yoga and doing extensive volunteer work that she found her way into medicine.
