About Rachel Peterson

Welcome! I’m Dr. Rachel (she/her), a dedicated naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist, specializing in reproductive health. With an integrative approach that merges traditional  medicine and research-backed treatments, I utilize a diverse set of tools to empower you to  feel your best. Whether you need support balancing your hormones, navigating transitions such as postpartum and menopause, or building your family and getting pregnant, I am  here to support you in achieving your goals.

My journey into integrative medicine began with my own diagnosis of polyendocrine  metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS, previously known as PCOS), and my firsthand experience of how comprehensive and eLective a holistic approach can be. With the  support of naturopathic and Chinese medicine practitioners, I learned about the root  cause of my symptoms and healed in a way that was deeply transformative. I know how  frustrating it is to manage chronic disease, and how important wellness is to experiencing the fullness of life.

Common Conditions I Treat:
  • Unexplained infertility
  • Diminished ovarian reserve and premature ovarian insuLiciency
  • Failed IVF cycles
  • Family building for queer, non-binary, and single individuals
  • Perimenopause, post-menopause, and early menopause
  • Uterine scarring
  • Painful periods
  • Endometriosis
  • Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
  • PMOS (previously PCOS)
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Pelvic, vulvar, and vaginal pain
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Recurrent vaginitis and cystitis
  • HPV and cervical dysplasia
  • Medical weight loss and weight management
Skill Set and Training:
  • Acupuncture: using this ancient practice to promote hormonal balance, optimal  pelvic circulation, and relieve stress and pain
  • Preventative Care: annual physical exams including breast and pelvic evaluation,  along with pap smear, blood work, mammogram, colonoscopy, and DEXA, when  indicated, based on standard-of-care guidelines
  • Nutritional Counseling and GLP-1 management: oLering tailored dietary guidance and managing prescriptions to optimize metabolic health
  • Herbal Medicine and Nutraceuticals: integrating both Chinese and Western  botanicals, along with professional-grade nutrients
  • Intrauterine Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): a procedure that involves a blood draw and intrauterine infusion to access your body’s natural healing potential. Research backed method for conditions such as uterine scarring, recurrent implantation  failure, and adenomyosis
  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI): assisted reproductive technology using  partner or donor sperm to achieve conception
  • Pharmaceuticals: prescribing medication based on patient need and preference,  including use of ovulation induction medications, contraception, and menopausal hormone therapy (HRT) when appropriate
  • Maya Abdominal Therapy: gentle massage that promotes circulation to uterus and  ovaries, and supports digestive health
  • Pelvic Floor Therapy: strengthening and rehabilitating pelvic floor muscles to  enhance genitourinary health and overall wellness

I am finishing 2 years of post-graduate fellowship furthering my study of fertility medicine  with Dr. Stefani Hayes and Lisa Tongel, LAc. We work collaboratively as a team at Seven  Dragons, where I continue to deepen my expertise in reproductive health. I have completed  Dr. Stefani's Fertility Fellowship, been certified in Pelvic Floor Therapy under the  mentorship of Dr. Kathryn Kloos, and trained extensively in Maya Abdominal massage and  fertility acupuncture.

Let’s work together to unlock your body’s potential and pave the way for a healthier, more  vibrant life. Contact me today to schedule a consultation and start your journey toward reproductive wellness.

About Whitney Hayes, ND, LAc

Whitney Hayes, ND, LAc, (she/her), is a skilled naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist practicing at Seven Dragons Integrative Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Hayes grew up in Arkansas, and through her life experiences and travels around the world, a theme began to emerge – she loved helping people. She strives for her patients to feel heard and supported in their treatment visits. As an avid listener, Dr. Hayes enjoys engaging with patients to empower them on their unique, individual healing journey. She views herself as a guide to help her patients achieve greater wellness. Dr. Hayes don’t believe in masking symptoms, but rather supporting their inner vitality to arise.

Dr. Haye brings a unique style of medicine into her treatments with tools of both Eastern and Western medicine. Trained in two disciplines – Naturopathic medicine and Classical Chinese medicine – she combines these ancient techniques with modern research. She can incorporate acupuncture treatments, as well as naturopathic supplements and lifestyle suggestions.

One area that Dr. Hayes has a great passion for treating is gastroenterology and helping people achieve optimal digestive health. She loves treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), as well as many other digestive disorders. One particular cause of IBS can be a disorder called Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). She has helped many patients with this condition. If you are struggling with IBS or any other digestive complaint, then Dr. Hayes can certainly help.

One patient population that she has found a niche in treating is babies and children with digestive complaints. Dr. Hayes loves working with kids and their parents to help them get their digestion back to a healthy, balanced place. If your child is struggling with tummy aches, constipation, or skin issues (which are often tied to digestive imbalances), then she can certainly help them too.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Hayes enjoys spending time with her wife and our two daughters. We enjoy hiking with our dogs, camping and backpacking throughout the Northwest, going to Portland Fire and Thorns games, and cooking wonderful meals with friends.

About Cameron Komisar, ND

Cameron Komisar, ND, (he/him) is in his first year of a post-graduate fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Stefani Hayes at Seven Dragons Integrative Medicine in Portland, Oregon. His clinical focus is on men's health and male fertility, two rapidly growing areas within integrative medicine where he brings both curiosity and compassion to care. Dr. Cam is dedicated to empowering men to better understand their bodies, optimize their health, and take active ownership of their reproductive and hormonal well-being.

Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Cam earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Middlebury College and spent five years in real estate. However, after experiencing naturopathic medicine as a patient and witnessing truly patient-centered care for the first time, he felt called to dedicate his life to helping others feel seen, heard, and supported on their health journeys. This led him to earn his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Cam's treatment philosophy centers on supporting the foundations of health to allow the body to reach its optimal state. With a passion for physical performance, recovery, and hormonal optimization, he works with men across all life stages, whether they are trying to start a family, dealing with fatigue or low libido, navigating hormonal shifts, or simply seeking to feel like the best version of themselves.

At Seven Dragons Integrative Medicine, Dr. Cam treats many conditions, including male fertility, low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, hormone imbalances, and fatigue/burnout. He employs a range of modalities, including naturopathic medicine, functional medicine, cupping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation.

Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Cam returned to his former middle school after college to coach football, a full-circle experience that deepened his passion for mentorship, discipline, and men's development. Outside the clinic, he enjoys cooking, exercising, golfing, and Oregon's beautiful nature. He lives with his wife, daughter, and their two dogs and values nothing more than time spent with family.
