About Kristen Halland, DC
Dr. Halland is a seasoned clinician specializing in Functional Medicine. Since beginning practice in 2010, she has placed emphasis on a whole-person lens to care and has a strong belief that an integrative, collaborative team care model will serve the patient best with her role being to exhaust the natural options as often as possible! I am passionate about supporting continuing medical education as a post-grad instructor. I also have the pleasure of serving as WholeHealth's Regional Medical Director. This means that my primary role is with our clinicians and driving our goal of changing the way healthcare is delivered from behind the scenes! Case management is limited.

“I’m so happy I decided to go to Whole Health Chicago to see if they can help me with my health issues. I have gone to many doctors and have had my symptoms pushed to the side and I felt like maybe it was me. The first visit with Dr. Halland I felt like I finally found someone who was listening and understanding me. She found many things with my health that others didn’t. I wish I would have gone there sooner. I feel very taken care of and everyone at the front desk and Marta have been amazing.”

About Dr. Humaira Quraishi, ND, MS

Humaira Quraishi, ND, MS, is a naturopathic doctor serving patients at her practice in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She aims to inspire, empower, educate, and treat her patients’ health issues.

Born in Pakistan, Dr. Quraishi immigrated to the United States with her parents when she was 4 years old. She has traveled to Pakistan throughout her life to visit family, and during that time, she gained an awareness of health and wellness in both countries. There were differences but also similarities, such as doctors quickly seeing patients without proper care or guidance into their lifestyle as well as the lack of education about illnesses.

With these in mind, Dr. Quraishi knew there was more to health than just prescribing medication to mask symptoms. She wanted to get to the root of the problem and help prevent diseases in the first place. Thus, she began her quest into naturopathic medicine and nutrition.

Dr. Quraishi graduated with her Bachelor of Science in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She then pursued her Master of Science in nutrition at the University of Bridgeport Nutrition Institute before earning her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine.

During her time in Bridgeport, Dr. Quraishi interned at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia and worked with many naturopathic physicians in the fields of kidney disease, food allergy, gastroenterology, and general health. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and New Jersey Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Many factors play into health, such as the root cause, nutrition, vitamin and nutritional deficiencies, mind-body wellness, and education about diseases. Dr. Quraishi strives to use all of these in her own practice.

Dr. Quraishi is beyond excited and grateful to guide patients through their healing journey and teach them how to heal themselves now and into the future.

About Dr. William Nelson, NMD

William D. Nelson, NMD, has been in continuous clinical practice since 1996, helping patients who feel lost, overwhelmed, or out of options finally understand what is happening in their bodies—and what to do next. As founder and medical director of Explore Health in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Nelson has become the physician people are sent to when answers are unclear and progress has stalled.

Many patients arrive after years of specialists, imaging, labs, second opinions, and endless online research. Yet despite all the information, they remain stuck. That is because true healing is rarely about a single diagnosis. It requires seeing patterns—how genetics, inflammation, infection, structure, nervous system regulation, and lived experience intersect.

Dr. Nelson is known for his rare ability to combine advanced modern medicine with the insight of a true healer. Patients often describe him as part indigenous medicine man—sometimes referred to as a “Shaugoma”—and part relentless diagnostician in the spirit of Dr. House. He listens deeply, thinks critically, and explains complex physiology in a way patients can finally understand.

Explore Health specializes in complex chronic illness, including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, ME/CFS, chronic viral illness such as EBV and CMV, Long COVID, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, and difficult pain syndromes. Dr. Nelson also supports cancer patients using innovative, evidence-informed approaches including onco-genomic testing, repurposed medications, and European natural therapies such as mistletoe—often integrated alongside conventional care.

In regenerative orthopedics, Explore Health offers non-surgical solutions for back, hip, knee, shoulder, and nerve pain using advanced injection therapies, neural therapy, and biologic products including cord-blood–derived stem cell products, exosomes, and Wharton’s Jelly. These products are not FDA-approved drugs but are manufactured in compliance with FDA CFR standards and are designed to restore healthy cellular signaling—reducing inflammation, promoting blood supply, and supporting tissue repair.

Approximately half of Explore Health patients travel from outside Arizona to establish care, then continue with structured telemedicine follow-ups. When patients don’t know where to turn, they are often told the same thing: Go to Explore Health. They’ll help you figure it out.

WHY EXPLORE HEALTH IS DIFFERENT

Explore Health is not a protocol-driven clinic. It is a navigation center for people who feel stuck.

Dr. Nelson does not treat diagnoses in isolation—he treats systems. Symptoms are viewed as signals, not nuisances to suppress. Every plan begins with a simple question: Why is this person not healing?

Care at Explore Health integrates:

  • Root-cause evaluation rather than symptom masking
  • Advanced diagnostics combined with clinical pattern recognition
  • Structural, immune, metabolic, neurologic, and psycho-spiritual insight
  • Regenerative therapies focused on repair rather than suppression
  • Education so patients understand their bodies and their options

Healing often requires more than information. It requires perspective, experience, and guidance. Some obstacles are physical—degeneration, inflammation, infection. Others are deeper: genetic vulnerabilities, nervous system dysregulation, or loss of direction after years of illness.

Explore Health exists to help patients navigate that terrain with clarity, honesty, and hope—grounded in real clinical experience, not trends or shortcuts.

Cameron Komisar, ND, (he/him) is in his first year of a post-graduate fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Stefani Hayes at Seven Dragons Integrative Medicine in Portland, Oregon. His clinical focus is on men's health and male fertility, two rapidly growing areas within integrative medicine where he brings both curiosity and compassion to care. Dr. Cam is dedicated to empowering men to better understand their bodies, optimize their health, and take active ownership of their reproductive and hormonal well-being.

Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Cam earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Middlebury College and spent five years in real estate. However, after experiencing naturopathic medicine as a patient and witnessing truly patient-centered care for the first time, he felt called to dedicate his life to helping others feel seen, heard, and supported on their health journeys. This led him to earn his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Cam's treatment philosophy centers on supporting the foundations of health to allow the body to reach its optimal state. With a passion for physical performance, recovery, and hormonal optimization, he works with men across all life stages, whether they are trying to start a family, dealing with fatigue or low libido, navigating hormonal shifts, or simply seeking to feel like the best version of themselves.

At Seven Dragons Integrative Medicine, Dr. Cam treats many conditions, including male fertility, low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, hormone imbalances, and fatigue/burnout. He employs a range of modalities, including naturopathic medicine, functional medicine, cupping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation.

Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Cam returned to his former middle school after college to coach football, a full-circle experience that deepened his passion for mentorship, discipline, and men's development. Outside the clinic, he enjoys cooking, exercising, golfing, and Oregon's beautiful nature. He lives with his wife, daughter, and their two dogs and values nothing more than time spent with family.
