Morgan Tempel, RN, BSN, IBCLC, is a lactation consultant and women’s health expert at Newma in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Morgan’s personal breastfeeding experiences prompted her career change from a hospital nurse to a lactation specialist.
After graduating from the University of South Florida (USF) School of Nursing in Tampa, Morgan spent the first 10 years of her career working in the acute hospital setting, working in a step-down intensive care unit (ICU), labor and delivery, and postpartum nursing care.
Morgan changed the course of her career after having her first two children. She became a certified lactation counselor (CLC), providing in-hospital lactation care for new moms and teaching breastfeeding classes.
With her experience and additional coursework, Morgan became an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). She then left the hospital setting to work one-on-one with new mothers, helping them with their breastfeeding needs at every step.
Morgan is currently enrolled in a dual master's program at Grand Canyon University. She is currently obtaining her Master’s in Nursing (MSN) as well as her Master’s of Business Administration (MBA).
At Newma, Morgan wants to provide mothers with the breastfeeding assistance they need before and after the delivery of the baby and throughout their entire breastfeeding journey.

Lauryn Mohr is our bio-nutritionist, specializing in functional medicine and creating custom nutrition programming for every patient that supports their unique hormonal profile and desired health & wellness goals.
As a high school & collegiate athlete, Lauryn has always had an interest in optimizing her own performance & health through food and fitness. She played volleyball at Concordia University – Seward where she received her Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology. She went on to the University of Missouri – Columbia to complete her published thesis and receive her Master’s degree from the Department of Exercise Physiology & Advanced Nutrition. Following her academic career, Lauryn practiced in multiple healthcare arenas including athletic clubs, cardiac rehabilitation, and diabetes education.
Through these experiences, she realized first-hand how confusing, overwhelming, and ineffective traditional “diet” strategies were for the standard patient looking for expert answers. Tired of seeing (and experiencing!) being tossed from doctor to doctor with no answer to symptom relief or concern for “root cause” care, Lauryn was determined to position herself in the healthcare field as a promoter & educator of nutrition and lifestyle as the first-line of chronic health outcomes.

Bianca De La Rosa was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended High School at Clear Springs, where her journey with nutrition would begin. She played Volleyball throughout high school, and eventually lead to her playing College Volleyball. She Attended the University of Houston and through her college career, was involved in the UH Nutrition Club, UH delta zeta chapter, Uh Volleyball Club where she was Secretary and Vice President. Her journey with various nutrition internships was able to enhance her passion, and mold her into a continuous learner of ways to better one’s self. She also was able to appreciate the value of child nutrition while volunteering in the nutrition department at Texas children’s. She graduated in 2016, with her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods, and was also able to obtain a Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) credential. She spent 2 years working at My Fit Foods working her way up as a nutrition coach, which then lead her to a different path of working under Dr.Brown in March of 2017.
Family nurse practitioner Jerria Bernestine, FNP-C, is the co-owner and medical care provider at Hands on Health Wellness Center. Jerria specializes in integrative and functional medicine and provides primary care, weight loss, intravenous (IV) therapy, and other holistic whole-person medical care in the Carrollton, Texas, office.
Jerria earned her associate’s degree in nursing at Los Angeles County College of Nursing in Los Angeles, California. Wanting to provide the highest degree of care to her patients, she went on to complete her master’s in nursing at the University of Texas in Arlington, Texas.
As a nurse practitioner, Jerria has steadily built her knowledge and skills in diverse areas for over 20 years. Her clinical experience includes working in primary care, functional medicine, perioperative care, telemetry, observation, and preventive care.
Jerria continually strives to provide the best experiences and results for her patients. She’s proud to work hand-in-hand with each patient to help them improve their health and achieve optimal wellness.
