She firmly believes that successful care treats the whole person, not just the immediate symptoms of the disease. Further, Dr. Taff recognizes that patient priorities in treatment may differ, and she is happy to incorporate complementary and alternative medicine when appropriate. She is also fluent in Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to provide multilingual care in her practice.

Dr. Taff is affiliated with RWJ Barnabas Health and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the only hospital in New Jersey designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. About Dr. Humaira Quraishi, ND, MS

Humaira Quraishi, ND, MS, is a naturopathic doctor serving patients at her practice in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She aims to inspire, empower, educate, and treat her patients’ health issues.

Born in Pakistan, Dr. Quraishi immigrated to the United States with her parents when she was 4 years old. She has traveled to Pakistan throughout her life to visit family, and during that time, she gained an awareness of health and wellness in both countries. There were differences but also similarities, such as doctors quickly seeing patients without proper care or guidance into their lifestyle as well as the lack of education about illnesses.

With these in mind, Dr. Quraishi knew there was more to health than just prescribing medication to mask symptoms. She wanted to get to the root of the problem and help prevent diseases in the first place. Thus, she began her quest into naturopathic medicine and nutrition.

Dr. Quraishi graduated with her Bachelor of Science in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She then pursued her Master of Science in nutrition at the University of Bridgeport Nutrition Institute before earning her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine.

During her time in Bridgeport, Dr. Quraishi interned at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia and worked with many naturopathic physicians in the fields of kidney disease, food allergy, gastroenterology, and general health. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and New Jersey Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Many factors play into health, such as the root cause, nutrition, vitamin and nutritional deficiencies, mind-body wellness, and education about diseases. Dr. Quraishi strives to use all of these in her own practice.

Dr. Quraishi is beyond excited and grateful to guide patients through their healing journey and teach them how to heal themselves now and into the future.
