Dr. Chalian was fantastic across the board. He was like a breath of fresh air. When discussing my situation, he truly listened rather than talking at me which happens a lot in medicine. He always was very accommodating to me and mShow morey comfort level when it came to examination. When the time came for surgery, he answered all of my questions up front and was very thorough with explaining exactly what would happen. I felt that I was in the best hands going into surgery. Afterwards, he was detailed with explaining how things went to me and my family, and my results were great. I had practically no pain or discomfort. During recovery, he always got back quickly to answer any questions I had and was super helpful at the follow up to keep me informed of how things would go moving forward. Words cannot express how thankful I am to have had Dr. Chalian as my surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing his expertise.
Beyond a great experience!! I’ve been trying to figure out how to express in words what my experience has been like with Dr. Chalian. He is the most genuine, caring doctor that I’ve ever met! He explains things from all angles, nShow moreever rushes and is concerned about all aspects of my surgery and recovery. (I had a robotic hysterectomy due to uterine cancer). I live in South Orange County and have been to Glendale for many appointments and for my surgery. It took us 3 hours to get home the day after my surgery...SO worth the commute traffic. If you’re contemplating which doctor to go with, Dr. Chalian is the best you could possibly find...do yourself a favor and choose him, no matter the distance. I can’t rave enough about him, AND his staff...they are truly amazing as well!!

Dr. Chalian earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College in London. After relocating to New York, Dr. Chalian went through an internship at New York University Downtown Hospital. He then completed a top-rated obstetrics and gynecology residency and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Currently, Dr. Chalian is board-certified in gynecologic oncology and obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He’s also a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chalian has held several prestigious leadership positions in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Chalian has held faculty appointments at some of Philadelphia’s most distinguished educational facilities, including the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson Medical School — now Sidney Kimmel Medical College — and Temple University. He also served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Fluent in English, Armenian, and Greek, Dr. Chalian enjoys conversing with patients who would otherwise struggle with language barriers. He’s known for providing patient-centric care, where each decision is made in conjunction with the individual patient after discussions about various treatment plans. I feel incredibly lucky to have had Dr. Chalian as my surgeon and doctor. He did my total hysterectomy - he was very patient and caring. He listened to my concerns and took his time to an answer all my questions - I had a lot! He did an impeccable job during surgery. I’ve followed up with him since then. He is soft spoken and his bed manners are refined. He is really smart and knows what he is doing. I highly recommend Dr. Chalian!

Professional, thoughtful and respectful
Dr. Chalian has been very nice, patient, professional and accommodating. He's always made me feel comfortable by letting me ask questions and providing answers the best way he can. He gives you options about your medical issues/treatments (if you have any) and doesn't make you feel pressured in any way. His office staff are also the friendliest and most efficient group ever. The best I have encountered in CA.

Dr. Chalian has a great staff! They are accommodating and nice! The first tine I called the office, I could feel that they are good people. They have phone manners, soft-spoken, quick to answer (which is rare nowadays) I was nervous at first to meet Dr Chalian,but when I began to speak with him he was soft-spoken, he listened to my concern. He advised me of what should I do and that made me feel at ease. He is knowleagble, well-experienced Doctor.
