Born in Winchester, Virginia, and raised in West Virginia, Dr. Santos graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. She earned her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Inova Children’s Hospital. Before joining Virginia Pediatric Group, she spent 14 years in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she helped establish and lead a successful pediatric practice.

Dr. Santos believes that listening closely to children and their families is one of the most important parts of pediatric care. She partners with parents to create personalized, evidence-based care plans focused on prevention, growth, development, and overall wellness. Her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and centered on meeting each family where they are.

Outside the office, Dr. Santos enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, cheering on Mountaineer football, and making memories with her family and friends.

Kirra L. She’s an active member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and has spoken at their national meeting, as well as several other regional conferences designed to educate pediatricians about pediatric skin conditions. Dr. Brandon has also authored multiple publications in dermatology and pediatrics journals.

As a native of Annapolis, Maryland, Dr. Brandon was excited to return to the area with her husband, Gus, an ophthalmologist and fellow Maryland native, and their two young daughters. In her spare time, Dr. Brandon enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family.

Double board-certified pediatrician and internal medicine specialist David Rubio, M.D., F.A.A.P., has cared for patients in Northern Virginia for over two decades. He is part of the Virginia Pediatric Group team and sees patients at the practice’s location in Aldie, Virginia. 

Dr. Rubio was born in Queens, New York, although he considers South Riding, Virginia, his hometown. In 2016, Dr. Rubio and his practice joined the Virginia Pediatric Group. He feels it is wonderful to watch the children he's cared for over the years grow and develop. The personal relationships made with families have been extremely rewarding, and he looks forward to doing the same for many years to come. 

Dr. Rubio is fluent in Spanish and resides in South Riding with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys sports and music.
