Leslie Mosteller, PA-C, recently moved to Atlanta from the DC area, where she worked in pediatrics over the last seven years, both in the emergency department at Children’s National and in pediatric primary care. She became certified as a lactation consultant (IBCLC) in 2021 to better support her breastfeeding families, and is passionate about supporting families in their feeding journeys.

She graduated from the PA program at George Washington University in 2016, earning a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to her training as a PA-C, Leslie worked in health informatics and public health in Charleston, SC. She holds a Masters in Health Communication from the University of Sydney, where she studied as a Global Ambassadorial Scholar with Rotary International in 2010-2011. She is passionate about global public health and has worked on projects in Australasia, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uganda, and Washington, DC. She has an undergraduate degree in English and Pre-medicine from Davidson College in NC and loves to share her love for reading with her patients.

She lives with her husband and two young daughters in the Atlanta area and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family, running, hiking, painting, gardening, and exploring local parks and museums. She is thrilled to be joining Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics.

Dr. Kaamilah Barnett is an Atlanta native. After completing her undergraduate studies in Kentucky, she earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She subsequently returned to Atlanta and completed her residency at Emory University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Barnett is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is particularly interested in breastfeeding and adolescent medicine. She believes in building strong relationships with families and providing comprehensive care tailored to each child's unique needs.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys volunteering in her community, dancing, and hiking with her family and dog, Ori. Dr. Barnett welcomes any family seeking high-quality, compassionate pediatric care to Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics.

Tennisha Edwards, CPNP-PC, is a board-certified primary care pediatric nurse practitioner at Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics in Atlanta, Georgia. She provides primary care services to children from birth to young adult, including well-child care and preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Tennisha’s care for children includes a special interest in child advocacy and child abuse.

Tennisha earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Rochester in New York and received her Doctorate of Science in Nursing (DNP) from the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing of Emory University in Druid Hills, Georgia, where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.

Tennisha is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She also currently serves as a preceptor for South University family nurse practitioner students.

Robert C. Platner, MD, brings more than 20 years of experience in pediatric medicine to Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics, serving children and adolescents in Atlanta, Georgia, and throughout Fulton County. 

Dr. Platner was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He began his professional pursuits at Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned his undergraduate degree. The following year, Dr. Platner enrolled at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. He subsequently completed a residency in pediatrics at Emory University in Atlanta. 

Dr. Platner is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and allergies, as well as attention-deficit disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD). When he isn’t working with patients or augmenting his professional skills, Dr. Platner serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Emory School of Medicine.

In his free time, Dr. Platner enjoys cooking, traveling, and playing guitar. He also loves the great outdoors and regularly hikes and kayaks. Dr. Platner welcomes any family seeking comprehensive pediatric care to Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics.

Claire Wilkiemeyer, MD, brings more than a decade of experience in pediatrics to Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics, serving children and adolescents in Atlanta, Georgia, and throughout Fulton County. 

Dr. Wilkiemeyer grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and began her professional education in Virginia, where she earned her undergraduate degree. After obtaining her diploma, Dr. Wilkiemeyer moved to New Orleans and enrolled at the Tulane University School of Medicine, where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Wilkiemeyer completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. 

Dr. Wilkiemeyer is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition to diagnosing and treating common pediatric conditions, she specializes in parent education and helping her young patients make healthy choices. 

In her spare time, you can find Dr. Wilkiemeyer spending time with her family on the Beltline and in Piedmont Park. She also enjoys gardening, running, and supporting local sports teams. I am a very experienced pediatrician with extensive education and training in several tertiary institutions across the globe. I have deep compassion for children and their families and this reflects in the type of practice we run. With the child at the center of our philosophy, we do everything possible to ensure access to the medical home and primary care irrespective of what time of the day it is. We provide primary care services up to 9 pm daily. We also ensure that our patients have access to us through telemedicine/evisits and direct to doctor messaging from the comfprt of their homes and phones. Our clinic has minimal waiting times, and online appointment booking which makes for a better patient experience. Part of my clinical interest is in lactation for mothers. I partake in community training of health teams for lactation. I am also board certified in Obesity Medicine and do help patients of all ages maintain healthy weights.

James H. Lin, MD, received his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Duke University, and his Medical Degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He then completed his pediatrics internship and residency with the Emory University School of Medicine. He has been practicing general pediatrics for over 20 years, taking care of children from birth through the teenage years. James H. Dr. Derica N. Sams completed her pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Vanderbilt University and pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her M.D. from Morehouse School of Medicine, and she is a graduate of Emory University with a B.S. in Biology. Her clinical interests include functional GI disorders, weight management, and integrative pediatrics.

At Hubbard Pediatric Group, LLC, pediatrician Holly Hubbard, MD provides a full range of care for children of all ages. Anna Woodson, MD, FAAD, is a fellowship-trained dermatologist at Cleaver Medical Group Dermatology-Dawsonville, Georgia location. Dr. Woodson has over 13 years of experience with extensive medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology training. She specializes in providing comprehensive, personalized skin care to her patients.

Dr. Woodson earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before completing her medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson.
