Dr. Dobos attended the University of Connecticut in Mansfield, Connecticut, receiving his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy in 1986. He obtained his master's degree from the University of Connecticut Medical Center in Farmington, Connecticut. 

Dr. Dobos completed his pediatric residency training at New York Medical College/Westchester County Medical Center and served as a chief pediatric resident. 

When he began his career at the Center for Advanced Pediatrics, he worked part-time while completing his fellowship training in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
