She and her husband, Dr. Manuel Guillen, founded and ran Virginia Allergy & Pediatrics for almost 40 years in Great Falls and Fairfax, Virginia. They closed their office during the pandemic. Trinidad Rojas, MD, goes above and beyond to deliver quality pediatric care to patients in and around Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Rojas started her journey into medicine in 1972 after becoming a medical doctor at the Universidad de Oriente Medical School in her home country of Venezuela. 

Dr. Rojas immediately went to work to gather critical clinical skills and worked as a house physician at Carupano’s General Hospital from 1972 to 1976. She later moved to the United States to pursue further education. She would go on to complete the flexible internship program at Perth Amboy General Hospital in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

She discovered a passion for exceptional child care and pursued a pediatric residency at the New Jersey University of Medicine and Dentistry, also in New Jersey.

Double board-certified pediatrician and internal medicine specialist David Rubio, M.D., F.A.A.P., has cared for patients in Northern Virginia for over two decades. He is part of the Virginia Pediatric Group team and sees patients at the practice’s location in Aldie, Virginia. 

Dr. Rubio was born in Queens, New York, although he considers South Riding, Virginia, his hometown. He completed a six-year biomedical program with Union College in Schenectady, New York, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1987. He completed his medical degree in 1989 at Albany Medical College, also in New York. He then went on to complete his internal medicine/pediatrics residency training in 1993 at the North Shore University Hospital/Cornell University Medical Center in New York. 

Upon residency completion, Dr. Rubio joined the Northern Virginia Primary Care Associates in Annandale until 2008, when he developed and managed his own private pediatrics practice in South Riding. He was board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1994 and recertified in 2003.
