I love children and consider them fascinating. They bring joy to the world. I've done a lot of training, to help me take care of all aspects of pediatric care. This includes training beyond my residency in Pediatrics. I did a year of training in Pediatric Surgery and General Surgery, as well as a year of Critical Care Pediatric Medicine. My extensive training has helped me stay calm when everyone else seems to be freaking out, and make better decisions regarding the sick child. My 25 plus years of experience has helped me pick up on changes outside what's considered normal, early. What I consider my core in Pediatric Medicine, is my love for children. Every child is precious.

Colleen Sabella, MD, is a board-certified allergist and immunologist at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates team in Tampa and Brandon, Florida, with specialized training in diagnosing and treating a wide range of allergic and immune-related conditions in both children and adults.
She earned her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Dr. Sabella went on to complete a competitive fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University at Buffalo.
Before relocating to Tampa, Dr. Sabella practiced at a major academic medical center in Portland, Oregon, where she taught medical students and residents and served as the founder and medical director of the allergy clinic at the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Dr. Herrero graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio, TX. During her time in medical school she was awarded a prestigious scholarship with the National Health Service Corps for her commitment to primary care. After graduation she moved on to a pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She has spent the last 10 years building the community at Dunedin Pediatrics & Family, and earning the trust and respect of children and families from all over Tampa Bay. Our practice is holistic, and Dr. Herrero is always available with a non-judgmental patient-centered approach. She strongly believes in the parental right to question and discuss treatment options. Every child is unique; we honor that at Dunedin Pediatrics & Family.
