James Baugh, M.D., F.A.A.P., has been on the team at Virginia Pediatric Group for over thirty years. He has dedicated his medical career to providing pediatric care for children in Fairfax and Herndon, Virginia.
Dr. Baugh was born in New York and considers San Marino, California, his hometown. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in human biology at Stanford University and his medical degree from George Washington University in 1980. He completed his pediatrics residency training at the William Beaumont Army Center in 1983.
Prior to joining Virginia Pediatric Group in 1989, Dr. Baugh served in the U.S. Army in Missouri and Belgium. He also completed an Infectious Disease Fellowship at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Sara Halpern grew up in Ithaca, New York. She received her BS in Behavioral Science at McGill University in Montreal, and then moved to Tel Aviv, Israel to attend medical school at Sackler School of Medicine. She returned to the US (after 9 years!) and came to Washington DC in 2018 to complete her residency at Children’s National Medical Center. She is proficient in French and conversational Hebrew. Dr. Halpern will be living in DC with her tiny but energetic cat Bitsy. In her free time outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and trying out all the restaurants in DC with friends. She received her Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Virginia in 1999, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2004, where she also completed her internship and residency in pediatrics. After practicing in Colorado Springs and Las Vegas, she and her family relocated to Northern Virginia to follow her husband’s Air Force career.
When she is not working, Dr. Tyabji enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. She stays very involved with her children’s activities. Traveling is a passion of hers. She also enjoys photography, watching sports, and eating multicultural cuisines.
Tiffany Meyer, MD, is an experienced pediatrician who joined the NOVA Pediatrics and Young Adult Medicine team in 2006. She currently sees patients at both their Woodbridge and Springfield, Virginia, offices.
Dr. Meyer grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and completed her undergraduate studies in biology at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where she graduated with honors. She then moved to Washington, DC, and earned her medical degree at The George Washington University (GWU). She went on to complete her residency and fellowship at Children's National Medical Center. Afterward, she returned to GWU and earned her Master of Public Health. Dr.
Meyer is board certified in both pediatrics and adolescent medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Although she completed a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine, she enjoys caring for children of all ages, especially newborns, school-aged children, and teenagers.
She is married and has two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys being a Girl Scout leader and coaching Odyssey of the Mind.
Laurence Seidman, MD, is an experienced pediatrician with the team at NOVA Pediatrics and Young Adult Medicine and sees patients at the practice’s locations in Springfield and Woodbridge, Virginia. Dr. Seidman has over three decades of experience and enjoys enhancing the lives of his young patients as they grow into adulthood.
Dr. Seidman was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and survived the blizzard of 1977! He received his bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated magna cum laude. He then graduated from New York Medical College with his medical degree in 1986 and completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital in 1989.

Jennifer Woodley, CFNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Advanced Pediatrics.

Jennifer earned her first bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from James Madison University, where she researched infectious diseases for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). While working at the NIH in research, Jennifer was called to want to work more closely with patients, and she returned to school, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Shenandoah University. Continuing her education, Jennifer received her Master’s in Nursing (MSN) with an emphasis as a family nurse practitioner.
Jennifer has worked as a nurse in the NICU at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and has eight years of outpatient pediatric experience in offices throughout Northern Virginia.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys hiking local trails, relaxing at the beach, reading, and going to sporting events with her nephews and nieces.
Pegah Pirowski, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Advanced Pediatrics. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Masters in Family Medicine from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
Pegah has worked in the adult medical ICU and pediatric clinics affiliated with Georgetown University Hospital and INOVA. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and a certified instructor of the COPE program, a cognitive behavioral therapy curriculum to help school-aged children with anxiety.
Her clinical interests encompass all aspects of pediatric care from newborn to adolescence. Her particular interests include asthma management, constipation management, as well as anxiety and mental health related issues.
Pegah was born and raised in NoVA. She lives in Vienna with her husband and three children. She has a large extended family in the area who she loves spending time with. She enjoys cooking, reading, and is attempting to learn tennis and golf! She speaks English, Spanish, and Farsi.
