Dentistry came first, but it wasn’t long before Dr. Bui focused on a future in periodontology. She went back to school to obtain her specialty certificate in periodontics from the University of Pittsburgh. Then, intending to give back to her community, she earned her Master's in Public Health from the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Richert relocated to Seattle, Washington to gain exposure within a large, private periodontal group. Dr. Debra Westervelt is originally from Hemet, a small town in Southern California. In her early years of college, she found a passion in healthcare where she felt she could best impact her community and graduated with a degree in biology from La Sierra University at the top of her class. She then earned a doctorate degree at the acclaimed University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Westervelt loves every aspect of dentistry and worked as a general dentist in the Napa area for several years. She enjoyed working closely with many specialists and collaborating in changing people’s lives. She was heavily involved in study clubs and advanced continuing education and became inspired by the specialists she had the opportunity to work with.

After graduating as a biology major from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), that for technology passion was apparent as he completed his internship and, later, served as an employee in the IT department at Genentech in South San Francisco. Ultimately, Dr. Ueno decided to pursue a career in dentistry, enrolling in Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
