Dr. Jeff Takai is a dental implant and gum disease specialist at Ramona Family Dentistry. Dr. Takai grew up in southern California where his father was also a dentist. As a result, he has been involved in dentistry in some capacity his entire life and he developed a strong passion for dentistry at a young age.

Dr. Takai completed his undergraduate schooling at UC Berkeley. He then attended University of the Pacific for dental school and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While in dental school Dr. Takai was attracted to the surgical side of dentistry and decided he wanted to become more specialized. Upon graduation, he furthered his education and training in periodontics at UC San Francisco where he completed his surgical residency in 2013.

Dr. Georges Traboulsi, DDS, is a periodontist with the Dulles Dental Group. His interest in oral health seems to be genetic, as he is the third generation in his family to practice dentistry and, in fact, spent time in his father’s office in his youth. From observing his father, he saw first-hand the impact of good dental care on patients. After graduating from Saint Joseph University in Orange County, California as a doctor of dental surgery, he stayed on to complete an oral surgery fellowship. He then entered the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he completed a three-year postdoctoral periodontology residency. And, finally, he obtained a master’s degree in oral biology at Boston University, during which time he conducted research on salivary proteins.

Dr. Traboulsi is an active member of the American Association of Periodontology, the American Board of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Traboulsi’s primary focus is on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of gum disease, although he also performs cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is experienced in a number of periodontic surgical procedures, including soft and hard tissue augmentation, the removal of impacted wisdom teeth and bone grafting in the jaw. As part of his commitment to the dental health of the community at large, he volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic. Dr. Traboulsi has two main goals in his dental practice. The first is to restore normal dental function, allowing patients to eat and talk without pain and the second is to restore and enhance his patients’ natural beauty by improving their smiles. About Dr. Prokopets

Eugenia Prokopets, DDS, MSD, is a board-certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist who uses minimally invasive periodontal and implant microsurgery techniques to improve patients' oral health. Dr. Prokopets completed a three-year residency and a Master’s degree in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Louisiana State University. Dr. Prokopets received training in all aspects of implants including:

Originally from Poltava, Ukraine, Dr. Prokopets is a 4th generation female dentist in her family. Growing up in Scottsdale, Arizona, she received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Arizona State University. Dr. Prokopets earned her DDS at Marquette University, in Milwaukee, before obtaining advanced training in General Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, and Oral Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Chandan Walia, DDS, is a Specialist Surgeon, who has been exclusively trained in Implantology and Periodontics and has placed over 5000 Dental Implants. Dr. Deborah Termeie obtained her Bachelor of Science and dental doctorate degrees from UCLA with high honors.

Dr. Termeie completed an additional three-year training in the specialty of Periodontics and Implant Surgery at UCLA where she was trained by world-renowned clinicians in a myriad of applications in periodontics and implant procedures. She has conducted advanced research on bone grafting and dental implants.

Dr. Termeie is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology.

In addition to a busy private practice, she currently serves as Clinical Instructor at UCLA. Dr. Termeie has published several articles in professional journals, and she is the author of the best selling textbook, Periodontal Review.
