Dr. Jeff Takai is a dental implant and gum disease specialist at Ramona Family Dentistry. Dr. Takai grew up in southern California where his father was also a dentist. Dr. Takai completed his undergraduate schooling at UC Berkeley. He then attended University of the Pacific for dental school and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Richert relocated to Seattle, Washington to gain exposure within a large, private periodontal group. He then accepted a faculty position at the UNLV College of Dental Medicine in Las Vegas, NV, serving as the primary periodontal and implant surgeon for the pre-doctoral and graduate-level programs. While Dr. Richert loved teaching, he had always dreamt of living in California, and made his way. He spent the last four years in private practice in Lafayette, CA. As much as Dr. Richert liked the Bay Area, he much preferred his weekend getaways to Santa Cruz.

Dr. Richert currently resides in Pleasure Point with his partner, Emma. In his free time, he enjoys going on adventures with their Jack Highland Terrier Max, and together, heading to the mountains for snowboarding. Lynna Bui, DDS, MPH, of Ueno Center Dental Specialists in Campbell, California, is a Bay Area native. Her interest in medicine started early, graduating with a degree in biology from the University of California, Irvine, before earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery at Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois.

Board-certified periodontist, Dr. Jeremy Ueno, is a Bay Area native and founder and owner of Ueno Center Dental Specialists in Campbell, California. From an early age, Dr. Ueno demonstrated a passion for medicine and technology. After graduating as a biology major from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), that for technology passion was apparent as he completed his internship and, later, served as an employee in the IT department at Genentech in South San Francisco. Dr. Westervelt loves every aspect of dentistry and worked as a general dentist in the Napa area for several years. She enjoyed working closely with many specialists and collaborating in changing people’s lives. She was heavily involved in study clubs and advanced continuing education and became inspired by the specialists she had the opportunity to work with.

Fascinated with the connection between oral and systemic health and determined to further her education, Dr. Westervelt obtained her specialty certificate in periodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
