Dr. Scott Chirichetti was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. His interest in medicine was sparked at a young age by his mother, who was a registered nurse. He later developed an interest in musculoskeletal medicine and sports medicine while rehabilitating a knee injury in high school. Dr Chirichetti received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Grove City College in 1995, and his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. He moved to Charlottesville to continue his training at the University of Virginia, where he completed his internship in 2001 and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2004. Following residency, he advanced his training in the Pain Management fellowship at UVA, which he completed in 2005. Dr. Chirichetti is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Pain Management. He has been practicing interventional pain management since 2005.
