About Lisa Persyn
Dr. Persyn grew up in the San Antonio area and after high school attended UT Austin. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She then attended medical school and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She did her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She believes in a conservative approach to treating musculoskeletal pain and exhausting all efforts prior to surgical interventions. Dr. Persyn has focused on the treatment of osteoarthritis for more than 12 years and is a leader in the treatment of joint disease due to arthritis. In her spare time, Dr. Persyn loves to read , travel and spend time with her family.
