Rachel graduated from the University of California, Davis where she majored in Human Development and played Division 1 Lacrosse. After several knee surgeries and a few years working as a government consultant, Stacey decided to make a change and headed back to school to study physical therapy. She graduated from George Washington University in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at GW, she discovered her love of treating the pediatric population during an internship at Georgetown University Hospital.

Stacey specializes in working with children with Torticollis, developmental delay, CP, hypotonia, Spina Bifida, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, and a variety of rare syndromes. Kaelie is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation for individuals with vaginas and in the treatment of autonomic dysfunction, including POTS, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and related conditions. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University and her undergraduate degree in Health Science from James Madison University. Kaelie holds her Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health and is certified in dry needling. She uses evidence-based techniques such as the Utah protocol for dysautonomia, along with other research-supported practices, to guide her individualized treatment plans.

Kaelie is passionate about helping patients feel heard, respected, and truly understood. She combines clinical expertise with empathy and education, empowering patients to take an active role in their care. Whether addressing complex pelvic floor issues or navigating chronic conditions, she strives to create a safe and inclusive environment where every person can make meaningful progress.

Outside of the clinic, Kaelie enjoys exploring her many hobbies, including reading romance and fantasy novels, photography, and needlepoint. She also loves spending time with her partner Aaron and their dog Maeve. If a JMU sporting event is on, it is likely that Kaelie is actively cheering on the Dukes in her purple and gold. Mike Reing was born and raised here in Northern Virginia. He graduated from Marymount University in 2001 and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics since. Mike was certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2003 by the American Physical Therapy Association. Prior to Co-founding Advantage, he was a clinic and group director for a national outpatient physical therapy provider for four years. He specializes in orthopedics with areas of sub-specialization in adult and pediatric oncology rehabilitation, sports rehab programs, cervicogenic headaches, and orthopedic pediatrics. He is affiliated with the Children’s National Medical Center where he is part of the clinical team in both the Late Effects Clinic and the Neuro-Oncology Clinic.

He has presented lectures in a number of his specialty areas to a variety of both physician and patient groups including: control of Chronic Tension Headaches in the pediatric population at “Pediatrics for the Practitioner”, the role of Physical Therapy in lower and upper extremity injuries to the Fairfax Hospital Orthopedic Residents, and the role of exercise and fitness in preventing and controlling late effects at the Life with Cancer Survivorship Conference.

His treatment philosophy involves a combination of manual therapy, patient-specific therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and a strong patient education focus. The focus of all of his rehabilitation programs is to optimize his patient’s functional capabilities and expedite their return to full, independent status.

Mike played soccer at Mary Washington College and now enjoys cheering on his son’s and daughter’s soccer and basketball teams. He along with his wife and kids also enjoy a variety of other outdoor and athletic activities.

Dr. Taylor Goodwill earned a degree in Cellular Biology at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She relocated to the area to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Taylor’s passion for physical therapy comes from her extensive sports coaching background and athletic experiences as an NCAA Women’s Lacrosse player.

Taylor specializes in treating a variety of sports injuries, post-operative, and orthopedic conditions. She has performed clinics for American University’s athletes on ACL injury prevention as well as sports screenings for athletes at Marymount University. Her therapy philosophy involves a multifactorial approach that makes each patient’s treatment individualized. Taylor strives to educate and motivate her patients about their conditions and give them the tools for long-term management and injury prevention.

Taylor is a certified dry-needling therapist (CMTPT) and is trained in blood flow restriction therapy. Through specialized exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, Taylor wants her patients to get back to doing the activities they love to do.

Alana Hamilton is an enthusiastic physical therapist practicing at Advantage Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Virginia. During school, she had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings but loved the hard work and wide range of knowledge that is required in an outpatient clinic. John Sartore is originally from Evansville, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Since his graduation from Marymount University in 2001, John has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Prior to starting Advantage Physical Therapy, John was the clinic manager at a busy outpatient rehabilitation office in Washington, DC. This office was the exclusive provider of physical therapy for the Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics. Following his time there, John worked with one of the top orthopedic surgery groups in Northern Virginia for five years. He was responsible for the care of patients following a variety of surgical procedures including ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic knee surgeries, total knee replacement surgery, total hip replacement surgery, arthroscopic hip labral repair, rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder labral repair, tennis elbow repair and ankle ligament reconstructions.

She has completed advanced coursework in pelvic health to expand her expertise and better support patients in this specialized area. Jenna Bythrow PT, DPT, COMT, leads the Women’s Wellness and Pelvic Health division at Advantage Physical Therapy.  Dr. Bythrow specializes in orthopedic and pelvic health therapy for women of all ages.  She treats women for concerns including back and hip dysfunction,post hip arthroscopy, prenatal and postpartum concerns, positioning for labor and delivery, pelvic pain, vulvodynia, vaginismus, tailbone pain, incontinence, constipation, pregnancy related wellness, peri and post menopausal concerns for pelvic health, post mastectomy or breast augmentation rehab, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and autoimmune conditions.

She holds her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The George Washington University and her Master's degree in Physiology and Complementary and Alternative Medicine from Georgetown, has been adjunct faculty for the Marymount University Doctor of Physical Therapy program, and is a certified Pilates instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).  Dr. Bythrow served as the Mind Body Director of a Baltimore-based Wellness Spa and has been working with clients of all ages and abilities since 2001. Samuel Corbin is an Alexandria, VA native. He graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School and then attended Old Dominion University from which he received a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2009. Sam’s affinity for human performance and sports, combined with observation hours in the Tidewater and Northern Virginia area bolstered Sam’s love for physical therapy. Sam completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Marymount University in 2012 and was the recipient of the physical therapy outstanding student award. Sam is now a direct access-certified Physical Therapist and is certified in Dry Needling. Sam is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Sports Section and a professional member of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Following physical therapy school, Sam gained experience working at an outpatient orthopedic clinic for two years associated with Nirschl Orthopedic Center in Arlington, Virginia. Dylan Clark is a passionate physical therapist practicing at Advantage Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Virginia. He likes to incorporate a fitness forward physical therapy mindset to address all forms of orthopedic concerns. He enjoys working with all parts of the body and particularly loves treating back ailments, hip, knee, and ankle pathologies, balance difficulties, and loves working with the older adult population.

Dylan earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where he was highly involved with pre-health clubs including acting as the Pre-Physical Therapy Society president his senior year. In addition to studying biology, he earned a minor in psychology which he has found to be highly valuable during his practice as a PT. Following graduation, Dylan worked for two years at the University of Maryland Medical Center as a pediatric rehab aide. He then attended Marymount University and earned his doctorate in physical therapy. Since graduating, Dylan has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patient populations in the outpatient setting. Seeing his patients achieve their goals drives Dylan to continually seek new physical therapy interventions to best treat his patients.

Outside of the clinic, Dylan is an adventurous home cook. He continues to push his boundaries in the kitchen and particularly enjoys baking sourdough bread and any dish that allows him to utilize his 100+ year old cast iron pan that was handed down to him from his great-grandmother. Outside of the kitchen Dylan can be found out on the trails pushing his mileage on the bike.

About Negassi Seyoum, DPT

Sarah grew up in Northern Virginia before moving to the UK, where she earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Sports Therapy from the University of Chichester, completing her dissertation in Nutrition. She later returned to the United States to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.   During her undergraduate career, Sarah served as the team Sports Therapist for the University of Chichester’s swim and athletics teams, where she also competed as a scholar-athlete. She also volunteered with Parkinson’s UK, providing sports therapy to marathon runners fundraising for the charity. At MUSC, Sarah contributed to stroke rehabilitation research, volunteered as a Student Clinician at the pro bono CARES Clinic, represented students through the American Physical Therapy Association’s PT Moves Me Ambassador Program, and served as a student ambassador for MUSC’s College of Health Professions.   Sarah has clinical experience working with patients across all age groups.
