Dr. Jonathan Steinberg is a clinical psychologist at Riverhills Neuroscience with over 30 years of clinical, training, and management experience. He specializes in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions for patients with complex mental health needs, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders.

Dr. Steinberg earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Miami University and completed his residency at the Northwestern University Medical School Institute of Psychiatry. He also holds a Master of Science from Marquette University and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers College. He is a licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Steinberg spent over two decades with the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, where he served as a Staff Psychologist and Coordinator for the Substance Abuse/Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Program. His clinical expertise includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD, Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy.

A recognized leader in the field, Dr. Steinberg is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and has led over 70 workshops for professionals nationwide. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, teaching seminars on treatment planning and brief intervention.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Steinberg is deeply committed to community service. He served as a trustee for the Hamilton County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board for 24 years, helping to oversee public funds and improve local access to mental health and recovery services.

Dr. Frances Bozsik is a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Riverhills Neuroscience, specializing in the comprehensive evaluation of brain-behavior relationships. She brings extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurocognitive conditions across various clinical settings.

Dr. Bozsik earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed a formal Clinical Neuropsychology Fellowship at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a Clinical Psychology Internship at the Phoenix VAHCS.

Her foundational training also includes a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Missouri State University. Her clinical practice involves conducting detailed neuropsychological evaluations for diverse patient populations, addressing concerns such as neurodegenerative disorders and cognitive decline; traumatic brain injury (TBI) and cerebrovascular accidents (stroke); movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease; epilepsy and pre-surgical evaluations; and ADHD and attention-related concerns.

In addition to assessment, Dr. Bozsik has experience in neuropsychological intervention, including facilitating cognitive rehabilitation groups to help patients develop coping skills and neuroanatomical psychoeducation. She has also collaborated within transdisciplinary medical teams to assist families in navigating resources for caregiver support and adult day programming.

Dr. Bozsik is an active contributor to the scientific community, having authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented research at international conferences on topics ranging from childhood obesity prevention to the validation of neuropsychological testing tools. She is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology and the Houston Neuropsychological Society.

Sheri Wirtz, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist at Riverhills Neuroscience, providing compassionate and patient-centered mental health care to people in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. Wirtz went to college at the University of Cincinnati, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Then, she enrolled at Xavier University in Cincinnati and obtained her master’s degree and doctorate degree in psychology.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Wirtz completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania, and a postdoctoral fellowship in rehabilitation psychology at the UC Health Drake Center in Cincinnati.

These programs taught Dr. Wirtz how to use psychotherapy to help people cope with illness. She learned that assessing the psychological impact of chronic conditions helps aid in treatment planning and improves patient health.

Dr. Hevylla Kelly Terlau is a clinical psychologist with training in neuropsychological assessment, psychotherapy, and the evaluation of complex neurological and psychiatric conditions. Fluent in both English and Portuguese, she brings a culturally informed, patient-centered perspective to her clinical work.

Dr. Terlau earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also holds a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work from Savannah State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.

Her advanced neuropsychology training has included work across major healthcare and Veterans Affairs systems. As a Neuropsychology Fellow at Hartford HealthCare’s Institute of Living, Dr. Terlau conducted comprehensive adult neuropsychological evaluations for individuals with neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders, acquired brain injuries, and complex medical conditions. She also provided cognitive assessment in the context of movement disorders and pre- and post-surgical evaluations. Her work included inpatient consultation for conditions such as strokes and traumatic brain injuries.

Prior to her fellowship, Dr. Terlau completed an APA-accredited neuropsychology internship with the VA Maine Health Care System, where she evaluated Veterans with a broad range of neurological, medical, and psychiatric concerns. Her earlier neuropsychology training included clinical experiences with the VA Maryland Health Care System and Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax, where she worked with adults across the lifespan presenting with conditions including dementia, mild cognitive impairment, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, cerebrovascular disorders, multiple sclerosis, ADHD, mood disorders, and other complex presentations.

In addition to her neuropsychology background, Dr. Terlau has extensive experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient and inpatient settings. Her therapeutic training includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused CBT, exposure and response prevention, psychodynamic therapy, family systems approaches, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based interventions.

Dr. Terlau’s research interests have included Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive functioning following COVID-19, neuroplasticity, clinical decision-making, and executive dysfunction in neurological illness. She has presented her work through professional organizations including the International Neuropsychological Society and maintains affiliations with organizations such as the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, American Psychological Association, and Cultural and Diversity Neuropsychology Network.

Across her clinical, research, and supervisory roles, Dr. Terlau is committed to integrating thoughtful assessment, evidence-based care, and interdisciplinary collaboration to help patients and families better understand cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

Elizabeth Campbell, PsyD, is a clinical neuropsychologist at Riverhills Neuroscience, providing complete psychology care to patients in Crestview, Kentucky. 

Dr. Campbell studied at Ohio University in Athens, earning her undergraduate degree in psychology. Then, she enrolled at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and obtained a master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology.

Before joining the Riverhills Neuroscience team, Dr. Campbell completed a doctoral internship at Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System in California and a two-year postdoctoral adult and geriatric neuropsychology fellowship at the University of Michigan VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System Consortium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

Dr. Campbell diagnoses and treats various medical conditions affecting the brain and behavior and has special interests in geriatric neuropsychology, dementia, and healthy aging.

Outside of work, Dr. Campbell is active in the neuropsychology community. She holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the American Psychological Association, the International Neuropsychological Society, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
