Laura J. Sambrookes-McQuade, SLPD, CCC-SLP, (she/her) graduated with her Doctor of Speech Language Pathology degree from Northwestern University in March 2021 and founded APTIH in November 2021. Dr. Sambrookes’ doctoral work focused on investigating which teaching strategies best support the health profession education student’s ability to deliver “bad news” to caregivers and their support network.
Dr. Sambrookes specializes in speech language and feeding for children aged birth to five. Her interest areas include: pediatric speech language disorders, late talkers, apraxia, early intervention, autism (treatment and diagnosis), sensory motor feeding disorders as well as swallowing and feeding disorders in infancy. Her practice approach is hallmarked by empathy and mindfulness practices.
Personally, Dr. Sambrookes enjoys long distance running, yoga, reading, journaling, philanthropy, and enjoying time outside with her husband, four children, and two dogs.

In addition to being a Licensed Esthetician, Melanie holds a BA in Communications, is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Polarity Therapist, and Yoga Teacher. Melanie is passionate about skin health as part of a holistic approach to overall well-being and empowerment.
Understanding that what we put on our face matters, Melanie uses organic, plant and flower based products in combination with pharmaceutical grade skin care to customize each and every facial for your diverse needs and goals. Melanie incorporates conscious touch, subtle energy work, and lymphatic acupressure into each treatment to acknowledge the needs of the whole person. This approach harnesses aspects of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine to effect changes in skin physiology.
When Melanie isn’t working you can find her in her local yoga studio, hiking and camping with family and friends, gardening at her farmhouse, or volunteering in her son’s classroom. You can usually spot her by the cup of coffee in her hand!
Angie holds a B.S. in Communication Disorders (Portland State University) and a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology (University of Hawaii) and is a certified Speech Language Pathologist with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. In graduate school she became an ABA therapist and subsequently a team lead. She was trained by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, TEACCH, and PECS. After the completion of her graduate program, Angie pursued many areas of interest with the pediatric population including early intervention, school settings with pediatrics, middle school and high school, as well as transitional education programs/life skills for students with severe disabilities, and private clinics. She has been fortunate to work in many interdisciplinary settings and believes in a whole child approach to learning.

Robin's clinical expertise is in post-acute neurological rehabilitation with children and adolescents, but has worked extensively across the lifespan.
