Angie holds a B.S. in Communication Disorders (Portland State University) and a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology (University of Hawaii) and is a certified Speech Language Pathologist with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. Chidera Oyeka, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist and the owner of Unscripted: Social Communication Therapy, a private practice based in San Jose, California. Over the course of my career, I found myself gravitating toward supporting families and individuals who were less able to communicate their needs. Mandi has over ten years of experience working as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Amy is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience. She received her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Utah in 2002, and her Master's degree from the University of Utah in 2004. Amy also received her 200 hour yoga teacher training from Yoga District in Washington, DC in 2016 and is a registered yoga teacher. After completing graduate school, she worked at the Kingsbury Day School in Washington, DC. 

She then opened her own private practice and has proudly provided therapy services for military families in the DC area.

She is the co-founder of Talk Yoga™, LLC, a program that combines yoga movement, breathwork, and mindfulness into speech and language therapy. She has trained over 200 professionals in the Talk Yoga™ method. In addition, she is trained in the first level of PROMPT, and LSVT, has received training in treating myofunctional disorders, and has taken courses in Natural Language Acquisition for Gestalt Language Processors.

Jaclyn (Jackie) is a Speech-Language Pathologist who earned her Master’s degree at Midwestern University in Speech-Language Pathology. Jackie has been practicing as a speech-language pathologist at EYT since 2018. Some recent life changes have brought Jackie out of state, and she is now primarily seeing children via telehealth for the IL and MD branch.

Jackie believes in engaging children in play-based activities to foster overall language development. Jackie is certified in PROMPT Therapy,  DIRFloortime® Certified, and has training in Interactive Metronome. Jackie specializes in children with Apraxia of Speech, pragmatic language disorders, and a variety of expressive/receptive language disorders. Jennifer (“Jenn”) is a pediatric bilingual (Spanish/English) speech-language pathologist at Express Yourself Therapy’s Kensington, MD location. She earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University with a bilingual extension certificate, and her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Applied Linguistics from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont.

Prior to joining EYT, Jenn worked as a speech-language pathologist at a nonpublic special education school serving neurodivergent students (K-8) with complex learning and communication profiles. In this role, she collaborated closely with special educators and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ communication across academic and social environments.

Outside of EYT, Jenn adores spending time in her garden, drinking cafecitos with a cozy murder mystery book in hand, collaborating with her husband on a shared Google Doc about their dream trip to Antarctica, and cuddling with her toothless black cat, Bean!

Anne has over 30 years of experience as a Pediatric Speech - Language Pathologist. Anne earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Speech Pathology at Marquette University.

Anne is trained in SOS feeding, food chaining, Arfid, and Get Permission approach feeding, oral motor, apraxia of speech, auditory processing, articulation and phonology, therapeutic listening, executive functioning, early intervention, social and pragmatic language, and is DIR certified. She enjoys working with infants and children of all ages and believes in building on each child's strengths and interests to improve their communication and feeding skills.

In her free time, Anne enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, two cats, and her friends. She loves to travel and go to the thater.

Mikayla Valdez, M.S, CCC- SLP, attended San Jose State for her undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences. In June of 2023 Mikayla received her Master’s of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. 

Mikayla has clinical experience in the areas of speech sound production, language intervention for early childhood and elementary aged children. She has had the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups as well. Throughout her experiences she has found a passion for early intervention, utilizing a child lead and play based approach for early language development. When she is not working she enjoys hiking local trails, baking, and spending time with friends and family. 

Michelle Jellen M.S., CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow at Strategies for Success. Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree in English from UC Santa Barbara and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University. 

Michelle has experience working in the school setting, private practice, and skilled nursing and has enjoyed working with a range of ages. She has a particular interest in child-led, play-based therapy and enjoys connecting with children and their families. In her free time, Michelle likes going on local adventures with her husband and two children, doing yoga, walking, and reading.
