Ali Ashtiani, MD is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible interventional cardiologist at Cardiology Specialists of Orange County (CSOC) practicing in Santa Ana, Irvine, and Newport Beach, California. Ryan Burris, MD is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist and cardiologist at Cardiology Specialists of Orange County (CSOC) practicing in Santa Ana, Irvine, and Newport Beach, California. He has special interests in catheter ablation of SVT, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and VT as well as in implantation of cardioverter-defibrillators (including subcutaneous systems), permanent pacemakers (including leadless technologies), and CRT insertion.
Dr. Burris attended UC San Diego for his undergraduate and graduate degrees and then received his medical degree from UC Irvine where he subsequently completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship. He then completed his advanced fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Chicago where he focused on complex ablations and device implantation. In addition to his board certifications in both cardiac electrophysiology and cardiology, he is board certified in internal medicine and adult comprehensive echocardiography.

Mahmoud Eslami-Farsani, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified cardiologist at Cardiology Specialists of Orange County in Santa Ana, Irvine, and Newport Beach, California. Amer Zarka, MD, is a general and interventional cardiologist and managing partner at Good Heart Medical Group, Inc. in Santa Ana and Garden Grove, California. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is certified in advanced cardiopulmonary life support.
Dr. Zarka completed his internship and residency at Jordan University Hospital in Amman, Jordan. He then pursued postgraduate medical training at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where he studied internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology.

Arjun Makam, DO FACC, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and a partner physician of Makam Medical in Anaheim, California. He holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and clinical lipidology. With his medical expertise and modern approach to cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Makam ensures his patients receive the best cardiovascular care.
Dr. Makam completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. After graduating, he pursued his doctorate in osteopathic medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
Following this, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California and continued on as Chief resident of the program. His training aspiriations then took him to New Orleans, Louisiana where he completed fellowship in Cardiovascular disease at the John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, where he also served as Chief fellow of the program. He then returned to California to complete his training at Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center, where he completed advanced fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology. Most recently he has become a board-certified lipidologist, enhancing his ability to idenitify patient's at the highest risk from choleseterol related complications as well as looking after those with genetic forms of cholesterol.
As a physician who strives to provide exceptional patient experiences, Dr. Makam can speak English, Spanish, and Telugu, and comfortably work with patients’ complex needs. With Anaheim being a central city attracting people from all around the world, he enjoys working with diverse patients of all backgrounds and ages.
Along with his board certifications, he has also completed his supervisor and operator certificate in fluoroscopy through the California Department of Public Health.

Wilson Kwan, MD, MS, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates. He specializes in general cardiology and advanced imaging.
Dr. Kwan earned his medical doctorate at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at LAC+USC Medical Center / Keck Hospital of USC.
He has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease in addition to subspecialty boards of Echocardiography, Cardiovascular CT, Nuclear Cardiology, and Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Kwan has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in medical and basic science journals as well as contributed to several book chapters.
Dr. Kwan is fluent in English and Mandarin and proficient in conversational Spanish.
