Dr. French has served as my family doctor for well over 20 years. He clearly has a busy practice, but manages to work effectively and efficiently with the available time. He asks good questions, and listens to the answers. He Show moreis proactive in recommending vaccinations and/or lifestyle changes to head off future problems. He makes effective use of computerized records, and makes sure I get copies of everything relevant. In addition, his office/medical staff is responsive and professional. The office itself is clean and surprisingly roomy. I am not sure that Dr. French is accepting new patients. If he is, I recommend that you sign up.
I was referred to Dr. Kim about 12 years ago when I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. At first I was treated with drugs and checked 2 or 3 times a year. When the a-fib got worse, Dr. Kim performed a cryo ablation which solvShow moreed the problem. I’ve been a-fib free for over 4 years, but I still see Dr. Kim twice a year to monitor my heart rate and blood pressure. He’s an excellent doctor - very kind and friendly and knows his stuff ! I would highly recommend him to anyone with heart issues.
Gene Kim, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Los Angeles. At the practice’s locations in Torrance and Manhattan Beach, California, he treats patients of all ages and specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, general cardiology, interventional cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease.
Dr. Kim earned his medical degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, before moving to California to complete an internal medicine residency at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. Dr. Kim continued his advanced medical training with fellowships in cardiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson, California, and cardiac electrophysiology at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
He maintains certification in both cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is fluent in English and Korean.
When he’s not diagnosing and treating patients with heart issues, Dr. Kim and his wife enjoy spending time with their two young sons and participating in all types of sports.

Very good and caring doctor
This practice runs like a Swiss watch. From Annie and the other receptionists at the front desk to Gladys and the other nurses running the tests and compiling one's data, they are professional, competent and cordial. I'm under the care of both Dr. Matchison and Dr. Kim who specialize in somewhat different aspects of cardio care, and they both coordinate well with my other physicians and each other. They handle the nuances involved in a clear, complete, yet concise manner.

It is always a pleasure to meet Dr Kim. He is one of the most talented cardiologists and at the same time very friendly, attentive to your problems and a patient listener. He put in a pacemaker for me about 14 years ago and follows it's performance very closely. I would recommend him to anybody without hesitation.
