Dr Matsuda is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and has been consistently cited in the list of the Best Doctors in America. She completed post graduate training in Dermatology at the University of Michigan after earlier graduating from the University of Hawaii Internal Medicine Residency Program. With her extensive training and dual board certification in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine, Dr Matsuda offers a holistic, in depth approach to caring for people with skin problems. Dr Matsuda is an active member of the Hawaii Dermatological Society and a past president. Together with her colleagues, she participates in ongoing medical education, patient consultations and community service. Dr Matsuda is also an active alumni and on faculty as a clinical associate professor with the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. For many years, she has supported young dermatologists and their research as the Hawaii chairman of the Leader’s Society of the Dermatology Foundation. Her Christian faith is the foundation of her work and home life. It has given her opportunities to serve on mission trips to Africa, South America and the Philippines.
Dr. Sheu is a board-certified dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is listed as one of the Best Doctors in America, as well as a Top Dermatologist by the International Association of Dermatologist. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, she graduated from the Yale University School of Medicine and received her Dermatology training at the Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. Prior to returning to Honolulu, Dr. Sheu was a Dermatologist with Stanford University and the Cedar-Sinai Medical Group. During her tenure as president of the Hawaii Dermatological Society, she helped pass legislation prohibiting the use of tanning salons by minors to reduce a risk factor for melanoma and other skin cancers.
