Dr. Victoria Godinez-Puig is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (FACMS).

Dr. Godinez-Puig grew up in Mexico City. After completing the French Baccalaureate Diploma in Science with Honors awarded by the French Ministry of Education, she earned her medical degree at U.N.A.M., the oldest university in North America (with its predecessor founded in 1551), and the most prestigious medical school in Mexico. During her time at U.N.A.M, she was inducted into the Honors Society for High Scholastic Achievement (known as N.U.C.E.), and was recognized with the “Gustavo Baz Prada” award for outstanding public service. 

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Godinez-Puig moved to Chicago to complete a research fellowship at the Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit of Northwestern University. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem, a teaching hospital of University of Chicago, and a Dermatology residency at Northwestern University, where she served as chief resident during her final year of training.  Following residency, Dr. Godinez-Puig completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, where she received extensive training in Mohs surgery, as well as advanced reconstructive surgical procedures. 

Dr. Godinez-Puig is passionate about delivering patient-centered dermatologic care, keeping in mind that each patient is unique. As a Mohs surgeon, Dr. Godinez-Puig is committed to performing surgical procedures with the skill and meticulousness necessary to achieve the best outcomes, while at the same time ensuring that patients feel informed and comfortable throughout the process.
