Dr. Aurash Bina is a board-certified dermatologist with a robust background in medical dermatology and skin cancer screening and prevention. A native Texan, Dr. Bina earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in Austin. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Touro University in California, subsequently completing his medical internship and dermatology residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Queens, NY. His tenacity and commitment to his field led to his appointment as Chief Dermatology Resident, a role that allowed him to hone his leadership skills and deepen his understanding of diverse skin conditions.

Ronald R. Brancaccio, MD, founded the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®) in 1979. He diagnoses and treats a wide variety of skin conditions at SINY’s® three offices in the West Village of New York City and the Bay Ridge and Park Slope areas of Brooklyn, New York.
After earning his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., Dr. Brancaccio completed an internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Brancaccio is board-certified in dermatology, and he is a clinical professor at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. When he’s not tending to patients at SINY® or teaching future dermatologists, he lectures on dermatology-related topics and has authored more than 40 scholarly publications, primarily on the subject of skin allergies.
Currently serving on the board of directors of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Dr. Brancaccio has also served as president of the New York Dermatologic Society, the Bay Ridge Medical Society, and the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, He maintains active memberships in those professional organizations as well as the American Academy of Dermatology and the Annenberg Circle Committee for the Dermatology Foundation, which supports vital dermatology research. Dr. Sarah Yagerman is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. She practices medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology in NYC and has a special interest in dermatologic oncology. She continued her training by completing an ACGME accredited fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Skin Laser and Surgery Specialists of NY and NJ. Lisa M. Gruson, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and part of the medical team at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®). After earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors, Dr. Gruson received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York City. While in medical school, she earned the Marion B. Sulzberger Dermatology Award and membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed her dermatology residency at the NYU Medical Center, serving as chief resident and receiving the Morris Leider Award for excellence in dermatology.

He then completed his residency at Oakwood Seaway Hospital in Trenton, Michigan, in affiliation with Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. While in residency, Dr. Saitta served as chief resident and earned numerous national awards for academic excellence and leadership.
Dr. Saitta is an internationally recognized lecturer and published author on dermatology topics such as hair loss, acne, and the psychological effects of skin diseases. Faith Huynh, PA-C is a board-certified PA providing exceptional and compassionate care to patients at Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in Trumbull, Connecticut. Faith earned her Master of Medical Science from Yale School of Medicine and completed her clinical training within the Yale New Haven Health System. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston.
As a PA student, Faith served as the Connecticut PA Foundation Chair and a Jack Cole Society Student Officer for her cohort. She was also involved in research and received the Outstanding Thesis Award through the Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate Program in 2024.

Jason Wilder, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist. At Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in Trumbull and Westport, Connecticut, he provides patients with compassionate and effective care.
Dr. Wilder graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in biology. He trained at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his internship at Suncoast Hospital. Dr. Wilder completed his residency in dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital.
He has written several articles and has been a guest lecturer for the past 10 years. Dr. Wilder is on-staff at Bridgeport Hospital and the clinical instructor of dermatology at Yale University.

Alexander Fogel, MD, is a highly-skilled dermatologist serving patients at Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in Trumbull and Westport, Connecticut.
Dr. Fogel is double board certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (a.k.a. Mohs). He heads our surgical and reconstructive dermatology practice, which encompasses Mohs surgery, as well surgery for melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and benign lesions, such as lipomas and cysts.
Dr. Fogel was educated and trained at Caltech, Stanford, and Yale. Robert Ecker, MD, FAAD, is an experienced, board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Integrated Dermatology of Groton in Groton, Connecticut.
Dr. Ecker earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Colorado. After which, he worked in pharmaceutical research for nearly 10 years. Through his time in research, Dr. Ecker knew his rightful place was working directly with patients.
He returned to school at the University of Washington in Seattle, earning his medical degree, and completed his internship at the Virginia Mason Hospital. Relocating to Wisconsin, Dr. Ecker trained at the University of Wisconsin’s prestigious dermatology program. He also served as Chief Resident in his last year of training.
When not in the office, Dr. Ecker enjoys cooking, the outdoors, playing banjo and guitar, and spending time with his children. He enjoys caring for his patients, attending to their skin care needs, and helping them feel their best. He is a proud member of the Southeastern Connecticut community.
Brendan Camp, MD, is double board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology and sees patients at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, which has locations in Upper East Side, Hampton Bays, Commack, Smithtown, Plainview, and Midtown East of Manhattan, New York. Patients have been coming to him for his expertise managing medical conditions like acne, rosacea, eczema, warts, psoriasis, moles, and skin cancer, as well as cosmetic concerns and treatments with Botox®, fillers, lasers, and other skin rejuvenation devices.
Dr. Camp graduated with honors from Cornell University, earning a degree in biochemistry. As a medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, he participated in a one-year epidemiology fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, where he participated in viral outbreak investigations. He has previously served as an assistant professor of dermatology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and worked in private practice just outside Washington DC in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Camp is the author of several scientific articles that have been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He has also presented at meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and the Society for Investigative Dermatology. Additionally, he is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology Case Reports, a member of the Curriculum Task Force and previous member of the Public Education Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a contributor to Men’s Health magazine.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Kalee Shah to MDCS Dermatology! Dr. Shah is double board-certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery by the American Board of Dermatology
She grew up in Southern California and graduated as a Presidential and Renaissance scholar from the University of Southern California. She subsequently moved to New York to earn her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. During medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and a recipient of the Glasgow-Rubin Memorial Achievement Award honoring select women for academic achievement.
Dr. Shah completed her internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and her dermatology residency at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. In her final year, she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she completed subspecialty fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology, and reconstructive surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medicine. She then became Director of Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Northwell-Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Shah's primary clinical focus is the management of skin cancers including squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, early-stage melanoma, and rare cutaneous tumors. Lauren Penzi, MD, is an experienced dermatologist with the team at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Penzi welcomes patients at the practice’s locations in Commack, Plainview, and Hampton Bays, New York.
Dr. Penzi completed her bachelor’s degree in biology and mathematical sciences at Loyola University Maryland, where she graduated summa cum laude. She went on to finish her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. After graduating, Dr. Penzi completed an internal medicine preliminary internship at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York, before pursuing an alopecia clinical and research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She then furthered her training with a dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Penzi is a member of various academic and professional organizations, including the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Penzi has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and presented her research findings at various medical conferences and additionally has authored a book chapter on emergency dermatology.

Dr. Lauren Penzi is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Penzi’s training and credentials set her apart as a premier dermatologist on Long Island. She attended New York Medical College, where she was admitted to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for graduating in the top 10% of her medical school class. She completed her intern year at NYU Winthrop Hospital and went on to complete her dermatology residency training at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Penzi also spent a year at Harvard Dermatology for a hair loss fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Throughout her training, Dr. Penzi has made many notable research contributions, and has been published in some of the top dermatology journals including JAMA Dermatology, as well as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She continues to stay at the forefront of dermatologic education and research in order to provide the best care to her patients.
Dr. Penzi is dedicated to the health and beauty of her patients’ skin. She prioritizes preventative measures to combat both skin cancer and aging. Dr. Penzi treats patients of all ages and has a special interest in acne, rosacea, skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, and hair loss. She believes in a personalized, comprehensive, and natural approach to cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys performing a wide range of cosmetic procedures including neurotoxins, fillers, platelet rich plasma injections, and cutting-edge laser treatments.
Dr. Penzi was born and raised on Long Island, NY, where she now resides with her husband and son. She is thrilled to be able to practice dermatology in her hometown. Dr. Penzi welcomes patients at the Plainview, Commack, and Hampton Bays locations.
