Ronald R. Brancaccio, MD, founded the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®) in 1979. He diagnoses and treats a wide variety of skin conditions at SINY’s® three offices in the West Village of New York City and the Bay Ridge and Park Slope areas of Brooklyn, New York.
After earning his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., Dr. Brancaccio completed an internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Brancaccio is board-certified in dermatology, and he is a clinical professor at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. When he’s not tending to patients at SINY® or teaching future dermatologists, he lectures on dermatology-related topics and has authored more than 40 scholarly publications, primarily on the subject of skin allergies.
Currently serving on the board of directors of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Dr. Brancaccio has also served as president of the New York Dermatologic Society, the Bay Ridge Medical Society, and the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, He maintains active memberships in those professional organizations as well as the American Academy of Dermatology and the Annenberg Circle Committee for the Dermatology Foundation, which supports vital dermatology research. In addition, he is an honorary member of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology and the Canadian Dermatology Association.
Dr. Brancaccio has received numerous professional honors throughout his long and distinguished career. Besides multiple inclusions on the prestigious list of New York Magazine’s Best Doctors, the nonprofit Dermatology Foundation named him the 2014 Practitioner of the Year.
Sydney Liang, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She specializes in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology with an emphasis on delivering compassionate, high quality, and patient-centered care. She has a special interest in the prevention and surgical management of skin cancers, the treatment of acne and acne scarring, rosacea, psoriasis, cosmetic injectables, and laser treatments and resurfacing.

Allison Jaekle is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Allison was born and raised locally on Long Island. She attended Binghamton University for her undergraduate degree in History with a concentration in Public Health. She then attended Touro College for a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Master in Physician Assistant Studies, where she received the Leadership, Academic, and Clinical Achievement awards upon graduation.
She is currently an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants. Dr. Ezra Hazan is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. He graduated with honors from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Hazan went on to do an internship in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed his dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. There he gained extensive knowledge and experience in procedural dermatology, including surgery of the skin as well as advanced cosmetic procedures like injectables, lasers and light based technologies.

Alexander Fogel, MD, is a highly-skilled dermatologist serving patients at Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in Trumbull and Westport, Connecticut.
Dr. Fogel is double board certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (a.k.a. Mohs). He heads our surgical and reconstructive dermatology practice, which encompasses Mohs surgery, as well surgery for melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and benign lesions, such as lipomas and cysts.
Dr. Fogel was educated and trained at Caltech, Stanford, and Yale. Jason Wilder, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist. At Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in Trumbull and Westport, Connecticut, he provides patients with compassionate and effective care.
Dr. Wilder graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in biology. He trained at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his internship at Suncoast Hospital. Dr. Wilder completed his residency in dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital.
He has written several articles and has been a guest lecturer for the past 10 years. Dr. Wilder is on-staff at Bridgeport Hospital and the clinical instructor of dermatology at Yale University.
Dr. Wilder is the father of two boys and enjoys working with children and adults. He truly enjoys working with the adolescent population and has one of the largest acne practices in Connecticut.

Robert Ecker, MD, FAAD, is an experienced, board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Integrated Dermatology of Groton in Groton, Connecticut.
Dr. Ecker earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Colorado. After which, he worked in pharmaceutical research for nearly 10 years. Through his time in research, Dr. Ecker knew his rightful place was working directly with patients.
He returned to school at the University of Washington in Seattle, earning his medical degree, and completed his internship at the Virginia Mason Hospital. Relocating to Wisconsin, Dr. Ecker trained at the University of Wisconsin’s prestigious dermatology program. He also served as Chief Resident in his last year of training.

Dr. Gratch is a graduate of University of California Los Angeles, University of Southern California and Cornell. Following residency, Dr. Gratch became a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. Dr. Gratch is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Gratch has previously served as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He is also an active contributor in the academic world of dermatology, having overseen numerous research projects in cutaneous diseases with published papers and articles in several scientific journals and books.

Brendan Camp, MD, is double board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology and sees patients at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, which has locations in Upper East Side, Hampton Bays, Commack, Smithtown, Plainview, and Midtown East of Manhattan, New York. Patients have been coming to him for his expertise managing medical conditions like acne, rosacea, eczema, warts, psoriasis, moles, and skin cancer, as well as cosmetic concerns and treatments with Botox®, fillers, lasers, and other skin rejuvenation devices.
Dr. Camp graduated with honors from Cornell University, earning a degree in biochemistry. As a medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, he participated in a one-year epidemiology fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, where he participated in viral outbreak investigations. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago and later completed additional residency training in dermatology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2012.
He has previously served as an assistant professor of dermatology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and worked in private practice just outside Washington DC in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Camp is the author of several scientific articles that have been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He has also presented at meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and the Society for Investigative Dermatology. Additionally, he is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology Case Reports, a member of the Curriculum Task Force and previous member of the Public Education Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a contributor to Men’s Health magazine.
In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, golfing, and photography. He has also been published twice in the New York Times.

She grew up in Southern California and graduated as a Presidential and Renaissance scholar from the University of Southern California. She subsequently moved to New York to earn her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. During medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and a recipient of the Glasgow-Rubin Memorial Achievement Award honoring select women for academic achievement.
Dr. Shah completed her internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and her dermatology residency at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. In her final year, she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she completed subspecialty fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology, and reconstructive surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medicine. She then became Director of Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Northwell-Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Shah's primary clinical focus is the management of skin cancers including squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, early-stage melanoma, and rare cutaneous tumors. She additionally provides medical, cosmetic, and laser dermatology services. Dr. Shah lives in New York City with her husband and miniature dachshund, Gus.

Lauren Penzi, MD, is an experienced dermatologist with the team at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Penzi welcomes patients at the practice’s locations in Commack, Plainview, and Hampton Bays, New York.
Dr. Penzi completed her bachelor’s degree in biology and mathematical sciences at Loyola University Maryland, where she graduated summa cum laude. She went on to finish her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. After graduating, Dr. Penzi completed an internal medicine preliminary internship at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York, before pursuing an alopecia clinical and research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She then furthered her training with a dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Penzi is a member of various academic and professional organizations, including the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Lauren Penzi is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Penzi’s training and credentials set her apart as a premier dermatologist on Long Island. She attended New York Medical College, where she was admitted to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for graduating in the top 10% of her medical school class. She completed her intern year at NYU Winthrop Hospital and went on to complete her dermatology residency training at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Penzi also spent a year at Harvard Dermatology for a hair loss fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Throughout her training, Dr. Penzi has made many notable research contributions, and has been published in some of the top dermatology journals including JAMA Dermatology, as well as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She continues to stay at the forefront of dermatologic education and research in order to provide the best care to her patients.
