Dr. Whitney Latin is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of
Dermatology.

Dr. Latin received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Brown University. She then earned her
medical degree from The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where she received
the Deans Fellowship award and a Distinction in Community Health. After an internship in Internal
Medicine at NYU Long Island Hospital, she completed her dermatology residency at the Icahn School of
Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where she served as dermatology Chief Resident.
Throughout her training, Dr. Latin has worked on a variety of research projects and has contributed to
posters and peer-reviewed publications on various dermatological conditions including psoriasis and
skin cancer.

Dr. Latin’s clinical interests include inflammatory skin diseases, acne, hair loss, and pigmentary

Dr. Joseph Sedrak is among the first elite dermatologists in the nation to earn board certification in micrographic dermatologic surgery and is double board-certified in both dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery. A native of southern California, Joseph Sedrak, MD, FAAD, FACMS, FASDS, relocated to Houston over a decade ago to raise his family and build a dedicated dermatology practice. Suzanne Alkul, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon serving patients at the Fulshear, Vintage Park and River Oaks locations. She is passionate about treating the skin, and carefully follows her patients from the first visit to the final cure. Dr. Alkul is a native Texan, born and raised in Lubbock. She received her B.S. in biochemistry and M.D. from Texas Tech University. As an undergraduate student, she maintained a 4.0 GPA and graduated summa cum laude as Valedictorian of her class. Leon Chen, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School at Houston. He completed his dermatology residency training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center/University of Texas McGovern Medical School combined program and his Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He was the winner of the Review Article Incentive Program awarded by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) during his time as a dermatology resident. His fellowship training focused on Mohs micrographic surgery, advanced reconstruction, and clinical research in cutaneous oncology. Vannica Soy, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Magnolia Dermatology. Vannica provides high-quality care to the residents of Cypress, Texas, and surrounding areas.

Vannica began her nursing career in the operating room in 2013 at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston. Her educational background started at Houston Community College, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She furthered her education and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 from The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). 

Vannica gained experience working in the operating room at Texas Children’s Hospital in in Houston. As an operating room nurse, she completed two pediatric surgical mission trips to Guatemala with Faith in Practice.

Vannica entered the field of dermatology in 2017 as a staff nurse at a dermatology clinic, where she pursued her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Dr. Dunn grew up in Houston. She graduated first in her class in high school, after which she graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a major in biology and a minor in history.
