Being diagnosed with diabetes as teenager was a challenge that became a blessing. I was overwhelmed, but was able to learn through trial & error and clinical education how best to manage my condition. The diagnosis allowed me to find purpose in helping those in need get to a better place managing their chronic condition while avoiding some of the pitfalls I myself experienced. I started my clinical journey helping those during their inpatient stays. Next, I landed in an outpatient setting in the Alaskan bush. There, I truly found my calling helping those patients on their journey. I left for an opportunity to become an expert in the diabetes technology space.
