She completed her nursing degree at Saint Catherine University in Minnesota, then moved to Texas to work in a Level 1 trauma unit and surgical orthopedics at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She completed several rotations at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano, Encompass Rehab, as well as LTAC and SNF facilities as a student.
